So a few weeks ago my mom had a colonoscopy and she got the results back from the polyp they found and it’s pre malignant so now she has to go back every five years to get one. I’m so glad she didn’t let it go and they removed it in time! Thank you Jesus! 💗

‪ My mom was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2011 when she was 37 years old. That summer she noticed a lump under her armpit that was growing. She went to the doctors to get what they thought was a swollen lymph node removed. We never expected it to be this. ‬

‪ My mom and I are very close. I was always a mommas girl who never wanted to leave my moms side so I went with her and my dad to the hospital for her surgery. (I was 11 at that time). It’s crazy I have a lot of things that I remember from that day at the hospital. Which I’m not really gonna share. ‬

When we finally could go back to see my mom after her surgery, my dad and aunt went back to go see her while my pap and I walked to the gift shop.

‪ My dad and aunt told my mom the news while I wasn’t in the room. I’ll never forget walking in the room and seeing my mom crying because they just told her it was cancer.‬

‪ “In doctor's office lighting, I didn't tell you I was scared. That was the first time we were there” ‬

I remember when I went to a radiation therapy appointment with her and sitting in the waiting room waiting for her to go back.

‪ “You like the nicer nurses, you make the best of a bad deal”‬

One of the radiation therapists was so nice and let me go back with them so I could see‪ how the machine worked that was helping to kill the cancer cells in her body. It made me feel better. ‬

‪ “‬Holy orange bottles, each night, I pray to you. Desperate people find faith, so now I pray to Jesus too”

‪ My faith in God grew much stronger in that time. I thank God that He decided He wanted my mother to stay. I love my mom so much and I don’t know what I’d do without her. ‬
