Idk why but I keep thinking about when I was in 7th grade my English teacher forced me to let her read my personal fan fiction and proceeded to embarrasse me in front of the whole class and say how terrible it was and it was a "cry for help". This wasn't even a month after she aired out something I confided in her in as a joke/lesson to the class, and a little after she told us-- the honors English class-- that we were delusional if we thought the job market would open up for us and that it didn't matter of we were the smart class, that none of us were ever going to make it or be successful in life. I was 12.

The golden spider of Kwaku Anansi was passed on for several generations, each of its bearers tasked with protecting the treasures of the Ashanti people. It passed down to a man who, like his predecessors, bore the name of his power source: Anansi the Spider.

Via the golden spider of Kwaku Anansi, Anansi gained the power of storytelling and with it, illusion. He can create illusions that seem real, but aren’t. Once an opponent became aware that they were only illusions, they could usually just ignore them.

Anansi can also walk on walls and ceilings like a real spider, which made him able to stand on the bottom of the Static Saucer.
