#my favorite thing about this scene #is that a.) full circle #and b.) can you imagine this scene happening when they’re on more solid ground #like they’re actually friends (or god forbid in an ACTUAL RELATIONSHIP)#and elliot tells her this #and makes a joke about how “wow must’ve missed the memo that bringing a pregnant wife to the hospital means they get named after you.#i guess eli’s name should’ve been olivia benson jr. if that’s the case since i delivered him #or some other snappy sarcastic line #and i would’ve SNORTED #because it would be very olivia to be sarcastic in that moment about that very thing if they were more comfortable with each other #a true tragedy

Since the Liv/Kathy gifset is making the rounds I'd like to point out that what prompts Kathy to say "the two of you together, always so in sync" is that Elliot and Olivia have both swayed towards her and expressed concern for her at precisely the same time

#i literally have always thought olivia and kathy were kind of friendly #because come on they HAD to be #kathy may have known how they felt and tried to forget about it #but they were definitely friends-ish #it’s olivia always being worried about kathy and taking care of her
