     ‘  hmm, i’m not sure. maybe we could go have dinner? or a theme park day, maybe?  ’ the options were many, and she hadn’t really considered what it was she wanted to do. when it came to mamoru, she wasn’t overly picky. she just wanted to spend as much uninterrupted time with him as possible.

          ‘  is there anything you want to do?  ’

“A theme park does sound like it would be fun. Plus there is always so much food to choose from.” Mamoru agreed after thinking it over for a moment. He took her hand, lacing their fingers together. “But honestly as long as I’m with you I don’t really care where we go.”

“So you did good on your last test, Usako..? I suppose I owe you that date then, don’t I?” Amusement danced in those beautiful blue hues, a soft chuckle escaping his lips. He couldn’t help but chuckle a little. Of course he had faith in her but seeing her so proud and so happy really made his day. Mamoru loved that look of pride on her face.

          it was difficult not to be a little pleased with herself. she’d worked hard, not only for the date he had promised her, but for herself in general, and in the end it had really paid off. looking up at him, beaming with pride and excitement she gave a small laugh and nodded.

      ‘  yes, you do, mamo-chan!  ’

“Did you have anywhere in mind that you wanted to go?” He asked, taking a step forward and placing a hand on her cheek. Mamoru loved seeing her like this, happy and proud. He only wished he could keep that smile there forever. However, eventually their momentary peace would be broken as duty called. So why not enjoy the moment for what it was? She deserved this time off and he was going to do his best to ensure that it happened.
