Soooo I love Taylor with my whole heart and soul. But I’m truly sad about this whole Melbourne Cup thing. I honestly believe that these things are still on because people just aren't aware of the suffering that the animals go through. It’s kinda like the meat and dairy industries, when it's packaged and tied up with a bow and you don’t see what’s actually going on, how are you supposed to know? Anyway, my point being - I really think that Taylor just isn’t aware of what saying yes to performing at the Melbourne Cup means, so here's a petition if you’re keen to sign it. I’ll always love and support Taylor - that girl has my whole heart - don’t hate, educate. @taylorswift

It’s nice to have a friend is one of my favourite songs. The whole album is describing the huge, happy, scary, sad, magnificent feelings of love and being in a relationship. But then It’s Nice To Have A Friend comes along and is like, sure all those things are great - but honestly it’s just so nice to have a friend. Someone who knows me better than I know myself. Someone who I can talk to about anything. A best friend who I can joke around and play stupid games with. Someone who I can be my weirdest self around. It’s genuinely the purest, most simplist, innocent, sweet and endearing form of love. And the lyrics, the music reflect these feelings so intensely. God this woman is some kind of prodigy.
