hey! I was wondering what your plan was for your au's after what's happened. I totally understand if you scrap them but you could rename the characters and make them your own. I would totally still read that.
Not gonna scrap them, they are my creative work and not anyone else's.
To be fair, from the start my au!crimeboys were based more on the collective fanon interpritation, than real people. I consider them, maybe not OCs for now, but some sort of fancharacters.
Guess now it's time to slowly move them to the OCs status :")
So far the plan - i will keep working on my one and only fic, which is my Vampire Au.
I more than likely will keep the names of Wilbur, Tommy and Sally, but might - this decision isn't final - change their last name. I will re-name every other character, and fill the gaps with OCs, to fully blend everything together.
It's gonna be the "if you know, you know" type of work.
When i finally will be drawing any of my crimeboys AUs again - i will stop using 10+ photo referenses, as i did before.
Not gonna try to capture the likeness of people, and just will let them slowly evolve in their own people.
I understand the authors, that want to scrap everything and move on, they are so valid in this. This shit is hard, the betrayal stings so much.
But i do love my work. I love what my AUs gave me. I still think they are too bloody fun. I've added too much of myself in those AUs and how i write those characters. From the start, they only had names and faces in common with who they are based on.
And they do not belong to neither William Gold nor Tom Simons.
They are about characters named Wilbur and Tommy, and i will see, how i can evolve them into my own silly guys. :)
But currently, i am on pause. Right now trying to distract myself with working on my older OCs and stuff.
Because thinking about the current situation is.
Upsetting.
