Hi, I have been neglecting my Tumblr because I have not found the right motivation to publish some fanfics. I have so many drafts I think people would love but I just need the right motivation to finish them. My mom also has been trying to motivate me in to writing more and even publishing some of my original piece of works. In the next few weeks I hope I find the motivation to finish some of my drafts and to even publish my first chapter of one of my original work. horrifyingly at the end of YOU i realised that when joe says that we might be the problem too for romanticising him and that part of what perpetuates this cycle of violence and obsession is the enabling, we the audience are possibly the loves of joe's life. we watched five seasons of him not changing, we stayed tuned to him, we waited years to see what happened to him. in addition to that, we watched him at his worst action his worst thought and we still watch him. because to be perfectly candid, like fleabag to us, joe is like our friend. he spills all of his judgments and secrets to us and it makes us feel special for getting to see the making of a psychopath. and that's the unreliable narrator of it all. he is not our friend. he is manipulating everyone, even himself, us, to like him. anyways i'll miss that show sm

The ending of YOU was, in my opinion, one of the most brilliant and haunting conclusions to a TV show—and it honestly blows my mind how many people still don’t understand it, or worse, continue to romanticize Joe Goldberg.

People forget—or choose to ignore—that Joe is mentally unstable and a textbook unreliable narrator. His internal monologue, that calm, poetic voiceover, isn’t insight—it’s manipulation. He’s constantly justifying his violence, his obsession, and his crimes, not only to himself but to us, the audience. And the scariest part? It works. Too many people fall for it.

Joe was never actually in love with any of the women he chased. He was in love with the power he had over them—the thrill of watching, planning, manipulating. He didn’t want an equal, someone who could see through him. That’s why he couldn’t stand Love Quinn, even though she was arguably his perfect match. She knew him too well. She was chaos that matched his own. And that terrified him. What he really wanted was someone naive, someone he could control while convincing both of them he was the hero of the story.

Then comes the final twist: Joe in prison, getting flooded with letters from adoring fans, mostly women, who romanticize him the same way the audience has all along. And in that moment, the show turns the camera on us. It’s no longer just about Joe’s delusion—it’s about ours. Society romanticizes obsessive, violent men and labels it love. We forgive red flags when they come in pretty packaging and whisper sweet lines over vintage books.

That final line—“Maybe the problem isn’t me. Maybe it’s you.”—isn’t just Joe being Joe. It’s the writers pointing straight at the audience, holding up a mirror. And for those who still don’t see it? Well, maybe that line was meant for them.

I started to write a story based on my oc's in a game I love (Guts and blackpowder), and I am so upset with myself for the story I have written. As I currently have three oc's, one of them is a officer who turns into a priest later in life, the other two are starstruck lovers that are murdered by him. Despite writing this myself and knowing the lovers will die in the story, I am still angry at my oc for murdering them as the more I write about them the more I grow attached to them. But also I love the officer as I made him a complicated, troubled, but justifiable in his actions. This is so complicated for no reason

My experience with comphet

As soon new to using the lesbian label...

I am one of the many people who have dealt with comphet throughout their lives because of societal norms and familial expectations. I was raised in evangelical conservative latino family which from a very young age told me I was meant to be someone's wife and instilled extremely gendered beliefs in my head. Despite this a part of me has always fought these beliefs but still conformed to them. In later years I have become more liberal through having the person freedoms I did not have as a child. This has lead to me identifying as agender, dressing masculine and feminine, using she/her and he/him pronouns, using masculine and feminine terms without care.

Despite all of this I have never been able to define my sexuality for the fact that my families beliefs were ingrained so far into me I always felt like I needed to reassure them that I liked men. I always commented "I want to get married to guy" or "Be a wife and mother". Despite these beliefs not being something I 'need' in my life to feel successful and fruitful. With this in mind I always imagine that if I were to get into a "hetero" relationship I would be miserable as I would need to hide my genderless expression and the fact that for me it would be a "lavender" marriage.

I have even made in the past guys crushes because I admired their freedom and presentation of masculine. This lead me to have a "crush" on a guy friend who was similar to me in many ways all but one. I ended up in a talk stage of some sorts which made me miserable, most nights I laid in bed repeating to myself "This is awful, I hate this I don't like him". This was all to please the views and expectactions of my family as I feared they expected that I was LGBTQ+ in some way. I couldn't sleep because of this decision and one night I remember waking up after some dream and saying outloud "I am a lesbian".

Since the revelation I went off to break it off with him and have followed and interacted with more lesbian creators throught social media, and have proudly stated I am lesbian. I still haven't told my family but that is something that will require a lot views to be changed. But at last since understanding that what I thought was sexual attraction was actually admiration and envy, I have been able to finally but a label on my sexuality. I still say "Oh he's hot" but to me I would rather die then ever find myself in a relationship, being physical in general or lovey dovey with a guy. That is why I truly believe in my heart I am a lesbian because the only masculinity I would ever be attracted to is the one belonging to butches, mascs, studs, and stems.

And for those who say I can't use the label Lesbian I want you to understand that I love women, no matter my lack of gender, my pronouns, or the terms I use for myself. I am person who LOVES women, I am not a man so I don't fall into the category of heterosexuality and I don't identify as a trans or non-binary folk either. I understand that lesbian = wlw or something similar (I kinda fit the criteria). So <3 that is my little rant about comphet and how it is 100% real.

I need to get something off my chest, I hate infantilization. Especially when it's done towards me. In real life despite being over the age of 18 and taking care of my self e.i paying rent, groceries, working. People treat me as if im a child because of the way I look. I'm 5'2, I have baby fat, and some times I dress extremely feminine and don't mask in public.

Which leads people to think i'm twelve and then treat me as such, which pisses me off as they will start talking to me in a baby voice and 'help' me do stuff. I hate this with every fiber of my being as this shows how little people think of children in general.

When I call them out then they get mad because why are you treating someone who is your "PEER" or someone who is only 2 years younger than you like a child. To get people to stop treating me like a child I have to dress promiscuous because no parent would let their 12 year old child go out with a sheer shirt and a mini skirt (I hope). Like do I need to walk around with a sign that says "I'm an adult, I drink, fuck, and do not need my parents permission for anything".

It's so exhausting, having to proof my age to people. But weirdly I think some people like infantilizing me, I have dealt with a lot of men flirting with me when they think I am underage. And strangely some women who think of me as pseudo child for them, and when their illusion is broken they are upset.

I guess the only people who know I'm a not a child is children. They'll look at me and often guess my age correctly, which is a suprise for me. But at alast that is my rant for the day.

I know I just reblogged this but I think the really important takeaway here is that this techbro is not genuinely asking “how can we improve fanfiction?” What he’s asking is “how can we tap into this massive market?”

I keep thinking about how many of these chat bots are free—for now. And of course they are! It’s a classic marketing technique when you’re trying to get your foot in the door with a novel product: let folks use it, let them get used to it, then start charging for it. You don’t have to look any further than streaming to see a very recent example of how this happens.

And it’s going to happen with AI.

There’s nothing these assholes love more than making money off of other people’s hard work. But you can’t legally charge for fanfic! So how do you get around that? You charge for a chat bot (which you trained on other people’s fanfic). You can’t charge for the content, but you can charge for the thing that produces the content.

AI is theft, and there are a whooooole lot of people gleefully looking to make a buck off of our hard work.

Don’t use AI, don’t feed AI your favorite fic writers’ and artists’ work, don’t read AI fic, don’t engage with it. And if you do, well, I can’t force you to give a shit about other people, but AI is a paywall being built, brick by brick, between you and the things you love. Stop slathering on the mortar.
