Friggit, I’m gonna start making preps for the hub blog.

Also… I’m using this opportunity to set up for a few fan characters/original characters I’ve wanted to use but haven’t gotten to on the hub blog, too. Stay tuned >:D

So, since I’ve wanted to get active in RP again...

I was thinking about making a hub RP blog and moving all of my characters to sideblogs attached to that, and archiving all the old RP blogs. This would generally make things easier on keeping up with plot threads. What y’all think?

He saw the very Star in the Gamble Galaxy map and so chose to see the very ruler herself. Managing a portal somewhere, he jumped straight in where Ripple Star was on the other side! With such a pleasurable sigh, he watched the various fairies pass by him and looked way up at the very castle rooftop. He went straight the front-doors... and made no movement for he wasn’t allowed in. “Whut d’ya mean I ain’t comin’ in?! D’ya know who I am? I’m tha King of Dream Land, jus’ lost a bitta weight!”

The blonde guard crossed her arms in an unimpressed manner. This particular guard had a reputation for her abrasiveness. Also, for how seriously she took her job of protecting her Queen.

Unfortunately, it seemed that this put her at odds with the King of Dreamland…“Yeah. And changed species. REAL believable.”

Ripple happened to be making her way to the front doors at that time. She HAD, in fact, invited him, and had noticed his tardiness in reaching the castle, despite being informed earlier that he had touched down upon the planet.

“… Rayon, why?” She sighed, upon seeing whom the King was currently engaged in conversation with. Ripple upped her speed to a slow run, figuring she had better stop Rayon in case she and Dedede actually got in a fight.“RAYON! Stand down! He is telling the truth!”

“Well, bad news, I jus’ love buzzin’ by the bar. I tell ya, it’s tha only way to chill after a day of trainin’ an’ tourneys.” The King said with such a grin as he held onto the idea of showing her his secret stash in the wine cellar. “But don’t try an’ challenge me none, I can even outdrink King K. Rool, an’ believe me, that’s sayin’ a lot!”

“Huh…? Y’guards?” It was different seeing Waddle Dee’s or Toads, but armoured fairies. He remembered seeing a few during the reward ceremony,… but now that he got a look at the one who refused him entry…

“Hey, is tha one who saw us at the hospital? Y’know, when we first…” his cheeks blushed a deep-red.

“Oh! That is right, the two of you have met, haven’t you?” Ripple exclaimed. Oddly enough, Ripple didn’t blush… “I’m actually surprised Rayon did not remember YOU. She did question me quite a bit about you after we parted ways.” Ripple continued. “Do not mind her. Rayon is a bit overprotective of me, since I gave her a second chance at a normal life. Rayon got herself into some SERIOUS trouble when she was only eleven.”

He leaned in so that he could mutter/ask Ripple; “didn’t she do somethin’ that turned to shit?” Dedede knew that Ripple employed her after a gang fight, whom the King thought that was so trustworthy and yet so risky of the queen to do so.

“No wonder she won’t lemme in. She mustah thought I was some kinda cosplayer.”

Ripple gave a somewhat solemn nod.

“She used to be involved in a gang. A territorial dispute went wrong, and she wound up killing someone. Unfortunately, this was around the time the judges in the Capitol had decided to start cracking down on the then-recent increase in gang violence. They were going to make an example of her. I offered an incentive for her because eleven years old is awfully young to begin a life sentence… “

He did cringe once he heard the killing part, which was indicated to be probably man slaughter. The teen didn’t think that someone like Ripple would even think of giving one whose barely a pre-teen a second chance at living her life. “Even I wouldanah thought of that, Ripple…” he said, as he awkwardly brushed his robe collar. He eyed the guard while standing in front of the Queen, right before looking over his shoulder.

“D’ya wanna go now?” He offered her his looped arm.

“Yes, we can go! Although I suggest food before alcohol. Being hungry can make alcohol hit you far harder than t normally would!”

Fairies had a surprising resistance to drunkenness, but Ripple would rather not be intoxicated in public at all. She was a Queen. She had to set a good example for her fairies, after all.

“Truth be told,I AM quite hungry, myself!” she chuckled demurely behind her sleeve.

“Ohhhh, ya BET I’m starvin’!” Dedede released her and smacked both hands to his trim belly. No jiggle. He felt naked without it. It was like a tortoise without a shell. “I wanna get some grub anywho. Y’got a McKawasaki’s here? Or WarpStarbucks? They’re ev’rywhere!”

“We DO have a Warpstarbucks!” Ripple said, putting a finger up in an “A-ha!” gesture. “There WAS a McKawasaki’s that wanted to open a store here, but… well, they could not find a vacant property with the proper setup. Most of the properties in the capitol intended for food services are more set up for sit-down restaurants rather than fast food.” Ripple said. “So there is not a lot of turnover for new fast food places to move in.”

“Y’know, I’ve heard they gotta mystery meat an’ they’re gonna keep it a secret… of course, I’m gonna eat it.” He shrugged.

Then he grinned. “Well that’s jus’ great for WarpStarbucks! I heard that even Aqua Star’s got one since tha Crystal Shards rescue!” Dedede clasped his hands together, grinning. “An’ perty soon, we’re gonna get one! Ooh! Let’s go an’ get one! Heard they’re servin’ cake an’ flappyjacks! Ya accept D-Bills, right?”

Ripple chuckled a bit. “I can pay. I do apologize, I should have told you where to exchange currency.” While most planets in the Gamble Galaxy WOULD accept each others’ currency, Ripple still advised people to avoid it when they could. While (thankfully) rare, shopkeepers on Ripple Star were NOT always honest, and with rate of exchange not always being easy to figure out, unsavvy visitors were easy pickings. “If that is okay, that is.”

Dedede’s currency were D-Bills; DDDollars and D-quarters. They were like Earth money but instead the side of the King’s face was printed on one side while Castle Dedede was on the other. Of course he had to be seen on his currency; way to promote his title.

“Y’all pay? Heh, thanks! Hey, can ya pay for a pub as well? If y’do, I’ll let ya have sommah mine Miracle Fruit Marvel.” He went to his tippy-toes and whispered by the side. “Incredibly rare from up above in Floralia, right before it turned to crap…”

No-one would stand in his way where he only wanted to see his beloved… such an obstacle! Dedede wanted to shove her out of the way, but was he really looking for a fight and also imprisoning a royal guard of Ripple? He didn’t want to… but he would go far as the basic ‘get outta mah way’ shove.

It was strange but the King actually thought he recognised her earlier… but he saw many of her fairies and even guards, like those present at the reward… Still though, it did falter his attention only a tad.

Once Dedede got the invitation, he didn’t hesitate forming a portal with the use of his paintbrush. He would even miss the big game in order to spend some quality time with her!

“Huh… hey Rips~” he decided to use his powers, which he held onto, so in seconds, the guard and Queen would find the King literally rocketing into the air and running straight towards the Queen. It wasn’t long until the young man had the Queen in his arms, face straight into her shoulder.

Ripple was caught off guard, but somehow managed to stay on her feet. Smiling warmly she wrapped her arms around him. “It HAS been a while, has it?” Rayon had turned around. Behind Dedede’s back she actually managed a smile of her own at this display. She was still rather annoyed that she had been evaded so easily by the king, though. Ripple shot Rayon a brief stern look. A warning to behave herself, she had been told to stand down.

“So Dedede, How have things been on Pop Star? Have you been well?”

Dedede didn’t release her, but lightened the hold so he could look into her bespectacled eyes. “Yah, Dream Land is back to its normal roots, an’ best of all, I get to go on a new adventure with Kirby! Not only him, but didn’t ya know that Ribbon is back! Ado too! It’s like a family reunion!” The King exclaimed, obviously happy about his time with the Star Allies.

He was lucky that his slight confrontation with the guard didn’t end in violence… still, he couldn’t put his finger on such a familiarity…

“Wonder if I get to be a muscle-bound monarch again? Heh. Uh, how’s things in y’kingdom? Lonely without Ribbon, huh?”

Ripple sighed at the mention of Ribbon’s involvement. “A little, yes... and I DO worry when she goes off on adventures. It’s all I can do to stop myself from stopping her from going... But I must. Sheltered Princesses become weak Queens, after all.”
