Maybe it was her imagination running wild, but Annie could have sworn this guy had been hanging around the cafe for a long time.

More importantly he was occupying their booth.

Ryuuji had gotten roped into something at school and Leader...well who knows where he went or what he got up to before meeting up with them again.

Which left Annie to start organizing their plans, but she couldn’t do that if someone was taking up their spot.

The setting sun was in her eyes. There was a glare and dirty finger prints on the window, so that wouldn’t do. And the leather was slightly more uncomfortable...

Giving up on listing the reasons as to ‘why’ she needed that seat back, Annie turned around to face the young man.

“Excuse me? Will you be here for much longer? My friends are meeting me here and we would appreciate the extra space.”

Annie tried to sound sweet and polite, but there was no smile or entreating look about her gaze, therefore her request came across more like a demand.

I’m at the cafe, but don’t sit down at our booth.

Some guy came up and started talking to me.

I don’t know what he wants...

Just hang back until he goes away.

You can watch to make sure he doesn’t try anything, but let me handle this, okay?

I can take care of it.

Anne quickly tapped out the message and sent it before putting her cellphone into sleep mode. She kept the phone tucked into her right palm as if it was a lifeline.

Given that people had started chasing them on their nightly runs, that phone just might be the only thing keeping Anne from getting in over her head.

Belatedly, she realized that the smart thing to do would be to let the boys come in, intrude on the conversation and whisk her away. The problem was, Anne was fed up with being rescued. It made the girl feel helpless to have someone else to take up a confrontation in her place.

Thus, she stood up straight when the stranger returned with his drink.

“Why are you bothering me?” she decided to that being brisk might make this conversation go quicker. Plus, Annie figured if she raised her voice enough then he might feel self-conscious enough to cut the questions and run.

Annie wasn’t very optimistic of that outcome, but she could try to rattle him at least.

Satisfied that her warnings were heeded for once, Anne gave Ryuuji a small nod. Then she realized there was one more thing to add.

“If you are going to visit him tonight, let me come too. I want to see if there are any new whips.”

Not that there was anything wrong with her current weapon, but it would be nice to see if there were was something that would catch her eye.

What do you think the Arcanas of the New Persona team are?

OK, these are pure speculation (and probably wrong), but based on what little information we have so far, but I’d guess:

*) Emperor or Hierophant for Ryûji. His arc seems to be wanting to establish a sort of “rule”, guiding others but being unable to because nobody takes him seriously/he has a bad reputation. That would fit best with one of those two Arcana. He clearly wants the “power” to make a difference, which is something very typical for Emperor, while the guidance/teaching aspect would be typical for Hierophant. Alternatively, Magician is a possibility as well, but I find that one less likely with him, since his arc doesn’t seem to be about him growing out of an immature state, but more about him finding his footing again.

*) Lovers for Anne. She just fits the pattern down to the tee. Honestly, it’s like she was made from the Lovers type Persona has created over the years. However, if they want to go for something more surprising, she might also be Strength/Lust, since that Arcana stands for inner power, patience and courage to endure/restrain vices for the sake of virtue (hence the card showing a woman taming a lion). Hermit is another possibility, due to her introspective and isolation.

*) Morgana is a candidate for Chariot, since her having Zorro for a Persona paints her as very ambitious, additionally to being strong-willed, aggressive and forceful. Though, with her not being human, I wouldn’t put higher Arcana such as Moon or Tower out of question for her. Fortune is another option, since Fortune stands for twists of fate, and that’s definitely what she causes the other party members. A twist of fate.

*) Yusuke… No idea so far. We haven’t seen enough of him. His “Never Give In” indicates that he has strong ideals, so Justice is a possibility. Maybe Hermit. I am not sure.
