WHELP. I finally caved and made myself a Luca OC. I havnt been this self indulgent in a fandom in a VERY long time. 

Lupo is based off my fursona, Doggeh.

What I think (or hope) Ciao Alberto might be.

I think we’ll see Alberto running errands around Portorosso getting various items in preperation for Luca and Guilia to come home.

By now the townspeople know his name and hes well liked - each shop he leaves he gets a nice “Ciao Alberto!” as he runs out the door.

The last shop he visits is a flower shop.

Cut to Luca stepping off the traing to greet Alberto (ciao Alberto!) and there we have Alberto holding out a bouquet for his best friend.

End.

Head canon, their first kiss is on the last night of their second summer together.

Alberto wasted the entire summer too scared to ask.

Not pictured - Alberto clinging to Luca 10 seconds later in a mix of pure embarrassment and joy. These boys are awkward and in love change my mind.

My biggest fear, should Disney/Pixar choose make any kind of Luca sequel (be it animated shorts, a series or a second movie), is that they will introduce a female love interest for Luca or Alberto.

I genuinely do not think they meant to make the movie as gay as it turned out and now that many people view it in that way I worry they will do what they can to reverse that.

Alberto learned that humans buy the one the love flowers for special occasions so he decided to surprise Luca with some on his first summer back from Genova.

I headcanon Alberto as someone who, while incredibly confident in virtually everything else he does in life, completely falls apart when it comes to his feelings for Luca. I love him being shy and awkward.

Hey Luca fandom, consider this...

When Luca and Alberto finally get together Luca doesnt need to come out to his family. I like to think that homosexuality is very common and well accepted among sea folk.

Alberto on the other hand cause I like to see him suffer knows humans arent nearly as accepting and spends weeks working himself up to tell Massimo.

Massimo loves him anyway cause hes a Good Dad™

I saw another user (whos post I cannot find now) comment on how “A Million Dreams” from The Greatest Showman makes a pretty good Luberto song and I felt inspired.

I have a very specific head canon that Luca likes collecting rocks on the beach and he makes Alberto hold them all cause he always has bigger pockets.

Dear Twister,

I can’t believe its been 20 years. 

20 years ago today I sat down at a friend’s computer and was introduced to Neopets. I was introduced to you. 

Little did I know that day I was creating a friend for life. 

You started off as a daily hobby, something new and exciting I could play with. At some point a switch flipped, you inspired me. You were the creative spark I didnt know I needed. I started drawing you. A lot. Through art you’ve carried me through middle school, high school and college. You were there at every job I’ve ever worked. We’ve even traveled the WORLD together. You, my friend, are the first thing I go to when I have to learn a new medium or new program. You are there when I need to start a new sketchbook. 

We spent so many nights together. Talking late into the night with dear friends online. Going on adventures and creating so many memories. Our early days together are something I will cherish for the rest of my life. 

I want to thank you Twister - you’ve helped me grow so much. I will carry you with me always. Happy birthday my friend <3

So roughly 20 years ago today, July 25, 2001, I sat down on Neopets.com and created a litlte blue lupe by the name of Twister175844. My og account was later iced and I started over in December 2001 and he became Twister17584452 - or simply Twister. He eventually became the fire lupe you see before you. For the 2 years following I spent countless hours roleplaying with him as my main character. 

Though my days as a roleplayer and Neopets user are mostly behind me (I still logon from time to time!) this guy still sticks with me. He is easily my most drawn subject. If I’m in an art block hes there to help. If I’m bored I’ll sketch him on a notepad. My sketchbooks and school notebooks are filled with doodles of him. The background is a nod to how long he has been with me. Without Twister I dont think I’d be an artist. 

He may be fictional - an imaginary friend in a way - but boy do I love him.

Thanks to Pixar’s Luca I was able to rid myself of some art block.

I’ve never done a scene redraw before so I wanted to try my hand at it. This was one of my favorite scenes in the movie. Gorgeous to look at and heartbreaking to watch.
