I'm guessing this will be in 3 parts.

For context, earlier Colin had introduced everyone, and explained that each person would give a 10-15 minute talk. Joey had said that he'd only found out about this 15 minutes before coming on stage, so hadn't prepared anything. In the previous talks, Peter had spoken about medieval attitudes to the 7 deadly sins, and Aleks had talked about silicon valley moguls who are seeking immortality (more about these later).

Disclaimer: I had originally only intended to film excerpts. The theme (as with the book) is filming. I kept filming, because what he was saying seemed really important, even if it was about not filming, so sorry for the hypocrisy inherent in these. But also, enjoy!

After annoying the cr*p out of my followers about Heated Rivalry for the last few weeks I'm sure a bunch of you are delighted to know that I'm taking that new obsession to a new blog. Feel free to follow me there. :)

no jut im really happy that evan brought up queer as folk because that was my exact thought watching the first episode, it is fun to compare hollanov and bj and that they both have got some of the most explicit gay (AND long) sex scene but essentially the similarities that are the most top tier for me is that for both the sex is not just sex it is characterization and a conversation, it is tha catalyst for the emotional part of their relationship and how and when they have sex means something to the story and their development that if you took those parts away, there wouldn't be a story to tell

This, exactly! The original QaF was my gateway drug into queer media, and I was so hooked on it. I just never got on with straight romantic content growing up because I could not relate to the experiences depicted in it. My reality and the way I related to men, to sex and relationships just wasn't at all what romance stories and romantic comedies were delivering.

QaF came at a time when I was figuring myself out and hearing Evan talk about it made me so emotional (and also made me feel sooooo old lol).

What I would just looooove to see now is a movie with Charlie Hunnam and one of our two chaos goblins. Maybe Jacob could write a part for Charlie in season 2...
