Demi: What it looked like was you're getting back together with your ex. Just days after you flew all the way out here to see me. I really thought you were different. But I guess not.

Timmy: We were meeting up for lunch because we're friends and friends can do that. We went for a walk after, because again, that's a thing that friends can do, and I was giving her a hug before we went our separate ways and she kissed me without telling me she was going to do it, and of course that's when they got a picture of it. Demi: It really is fucked. Living under a microscope is something a person can only handle for so long before they go insane. Looking back, I see the bigger picture now and understand how fucked up it all was. But at the same time, I've grown so much and learned so much from it all. I feel like I'm a stronger and better person for it. If anything, I understand where to draw the line and how important boundaries are.

Demi: I'll keep that in mind anytime I feel like I need to convince you of something. But really, I can't wait for you to get here. I'll be perfectly content if I can just lay in bed and cuddle with you all day long.

Demi: I always forget that you and Ansel used to go to school together. So you pretty much know how it feels then. It hurts to grow apart from someone who you were once so close to. Especially for Selena and I. We were inseparable. Always having sleepovers and spending time at each other's houses. I think our teenage years are what really changed us. She started dating Nick and became best friends with Taylor. So I felt replaced in a way. I was also struggling with my own personal demons around that same time, which of course just didn't help in the bigger picture. Just like you said. It is what it is. Thank you. Really. You have no idea what that means to me. You're the sweetest.

Timmy: It just happens. It's normal, you know? What isn't normal is having a wide angle lens on you through every step of your formative years. It's fucked. And what were these people doing ridiculing and judging a literal teenage for going through regular teenage things? I'll never understand the world and why they were so awful to you. Demi: I promise it won't be too much longer now. The moment I see you, I'll jump right into your arms and squeeze you tight. Plus I'll refuse to let go and basically just latch on like a koala. No, definitely not. I've cut ties with all those toxic influences. Nothing but good vibes from here on out.

Demi: Selena and I just have a complicated history. We were the best of friends from the time we were kids starring on Barney together. It continued when we both got gigs with Disney around the same time years later. We just went down different paths, started hanging out with new crowds, and eventually we stopped being friends. There have been a few times we've reconnected over the years. But nothing will ever be the same as it was when we were kids or teenagers. Then when you add in my history with Niall, mix that in with my history with Selena, and it's just a complicated mess. So once again, I'm sorry for pulling you into the middle of it. I have a terrible habit of dragging outsiders into my drama sometimes.

Timmy: It's hard when you grew up with people or were friends with them in your formative years. I went to school with Ansel and then one day he was dating my best friend, which was cool, but even we went through our own weird patch as well. It's hard when you have all the pressure of everyone else expecting you to stay and remain as close as you once were. People grow apart, it is what it is. People's priorities change, it is what it is. I'm sorry you've had a microscope on you for so long, I can't imagine how exhausting that all could be for you. It's okay. Absolutely okay. I'm here for you through you good and bay days and moments.

I do know that. But we all have our days where we’re not as self confident as usual. I’ve struggled with that a lot over the years. But it does help to know that you think so too. It just helps boost my confidence and my ego a little bit more. Seriously? They don’t know what they’re missing. For the record, I enjoy talking to you. You always have something interesting to say and you don’t try too hard. I’ve been on dates with guys where they just try way too hard to push the chemistry when it’s just not there. But with you, I felt it right away. I’m glad I decided to come with you too. I’m always a sucker for a wedding. Mainly for the food and the dancing that takes place. Having a super hot date is just an added bonus. 

I get that. Being confident in yourself is a hard thing to do. Especially when you’re in this line of work. I can’t even imagine how much harder it was on you to have to grow up with all these eyes on you, just watching you through your entire life as you fuck up the way anyone else would. It’s just awful that anyone has to go through that. I’m glad my random rambles can provide you with some entertainment. I haven’t fully gotten my brain to mouth filter fully worked out, so some stupid shit does slip though every now and then. Let’s just move on and pretend it never happened when it eventually does. Plus it helps that it’s in Ireland, huh? This is my first time here, I can tell why Sersh enjoys coming back so often.

These old Irish dudes have nothing on you and they all know it. Pretty sure most of the single girls are hating me right now. I’ve seen them sending me death glares all day long, while also drooling over you.

I will say, I’m a pretty decent slow dancer. My sister is a dancer and I used to be forced to rehearse with her when I was a kid. So whenever a slow song comes on, I’m more than happy to whisk you off your feet. Is that what’s going on? I haven’t even noticed anyone looking. Must be because my eyes have just been glued to you all night.
