Sooo...
I’ve decided to revive this blog. This username cannot go to waste!

HELLO
Whoops. I had neglected this little tumblr for a while due to a combo of work + computer issues.
BUT NOW I'M BACK. I'm so out of the loop right now that it's almost silly. Fixing that now.
I need a 'Movies Seen in 2014' post now. It will only have one sad entry now. :(
Happy Together (1997)
Had a dream about Leslie last night... It was such an adorable dream and I didn't want to wake up from it.
I'm now reminded that I kind of dropped my burgeoning love of Chinese and Hong Kong cinema for Old Hollywood a while ago. I must remedy that.
....Remedy that by watching all of my favorite Leslie Cheung films + the ton of films I have on my to-watch list. This is going to take a while.
I find it comforting that Farewell my Concubine is still my ultimate favorite film. It's the only film I watched again immediately after the first view (which is amazing since the film is loooooooong). It was so perfect and still is.
The Ox-Bow Incident (1943)
And what is anybody’s conscience except a little piece of the conscience of all men that ever lived?
omg I just finished The Ox-Bow Incident.
WHY WASN'T I ALERTED THAT THIS WAS A LIFE-RUINING FILM I was told it would be sad. But not this sad. I- I just-
SOMEONE HOLD ME.
It was SO GOOD, but I feel like I need to watch nothing but happy things for a while.
Jack Lemmon as Joe Clay in “Days of Wine and Roses”, 1962
This is beautiful

Sweet Smell of Success (1957)
I wish I could go back in time temporarily so I could attend the original March on Washington. I can't even look at photos or footage from the event without crying.
It was (and still is) so powerful. My goodness.
