Fun as it was writing Gil ( he was my reason for getting into Fate and my first Fate blog in general! ) I’ve been having severe issues with capturing his voice, even moreso finding motivation to write on him after events that has happened in the rpc as a whole. I will be deleting my old archive blog and placing this one on indefinite hiatus. I had a lot of fun writing Gil, but my brain’s permanently fixated on Lancelot whom you can find on @cevalier sldkfjsdjf

Don’t think for a second I don’t see you stalking me and my friends and writing vague posts to spite us. I’m still here because I legitimately care more about my muses and the friends I’ve made here than the rpc as a collective, who’ve shown me time and time again that they’re willing to apologize for negative actions and known abusers in order to “uwu keep the peace.” I’ve made it clear in my rules on both Gilgamesh and Lancelot that I will not tolerate it if people put Cent ( who has two callout blogs on him ), Aku ( who has a callout blog and a 100+ page google doc detailing their shit ), and Kirby/Kitkat ( who made a really petty callout about my friends and I because we didn’t condone aging teen-coded characters up for smut :thonking: ).

I am not joking around when I say that if you put ANY of the aforementioned people on my dash and associate with them in any way/shape/form that I’ll block your ass.

We’ve stayed in our lanes, we’ve cut ourselves off from associating with the rpc, and yet you continue find the need to talk shit about us, vague about us in your rules, and insult our respective ships and portrayals, even when we’ve literally done nothing to provoke you. If you find some kind of weird joy in picking on people to make yourself feel better then you’ve really picked the wrong people to mess with. :3c

Because, like it or not, this is about more than just him writing a r*pist character ( which is still disgusting as hell and he shouldn’t get away with it ), and the fact that you’re ignoring all of that just to be petty and bash on my friends says a lot about you and the Fate rpc as a whole for ignoring his shitty behavior and letting him get away with it after all these years.

ooc// i was just curious about your r!63 policy bc your rules say you absolutely don’t accept it, but many characters within fate verse are canonically r!63. how do you interact when it comes to characters like arthuria, jack the ripper, or francis drake?

I understand that Fate is a very touchy subject when they use r!63 on a lot of historically male individuals, but the difference between Fate’s usage of r!63 and rping r!63 is that Fate as a whole is an alternate universe of our current universe with the characters fully acknowledging that our history might have them as male, but in their timeline they were always born female.

One such example of this is Miyamoto Musashi:

A swordsman from the early Edo Period, famous as the strongest swordmaster in Japanese history.Learned in the “Niten Ichi-ryu” (a school that was supposedly founded by Musashi), an expert of “dual wielding” that employs a long sword and a short sword.

….or so it should have been, but it seems that her circumstances are somehow different from the Musashi that left his name in history.“Eh? The ‘Musashi’ in this world is a man? And also extremely famous? What a surprise!”

Plus, for a lot of characters, they do explain a lot of why they are that gender with the most obvious being Artoria, who had to live out her entire life concealing the fact that she was female and it shapes a lot of how she is in Stay Night and Zero. Jack is a similar case where she isn’t actually a person and instead the manifestation of aborted fetuses which can be read in one of their bio entries in FGO if you don’t believe me:

I can pull from countless other things, but here’s another thing: as an rper, you yourself are making the conscious decision whether or not you’re going to make an r!63 verse. You are making the conscious decision of cisswapping your muse and exposing that to people who are sensitive and very much against that idea rather than sticking to whatever gender your character might identify as, thus erasing the concept of gender fluidity be it for shipping or otherwise. I’m very much aware that bringing these issues to light is a constant struggle for people in Japan, but we’re on a Western website where these topics are very much prevalent and have been stressed ad nauseam to avoid, and if you as an rper support the usage of r!63 and have it as a verse for a character you have already id’d as cisgender, then you’re only perpetuating an ongoing problem regardless of whether or not you’re aware of how problematic this is or not.

That’s why I don’t condone blogs who make a r!63 verse yet why I’m still okay with rping with characters like Artoria or Drake.

Also, for the record, I haven’t shipped Gil/Artoria in months and you’re never going to see it on this blog. :^)
