Doppelgänger: Revengeful Moon Queen
Queen Serenity felt her body weakening, but it seemed like her daughter’s words were the ones breaking her, cutting her skin and making her bleed all over her beautiful white dress. Her long silver hair became in contact with the blood and the ends of it started to dye red too quickly.
She felt those tender hands against her shoulders, holding her closer, helping her stay on her feet. The pain on her back from the wounds the Shitennou had caused her seemed so distant, so far away... Suddenly the anger started washing away with the sound of her daughter’s voice. She spoke of second chances and love and family. Those things that she had once believe in and fought for. Those things she had taught her own daughter. All those things that had proven to be untrue when the battles started. Yes, she had wanted her daughter to be with her true love, Endymion. But what had that costed them? Everything!
Princess Serenity said she was happy in this life. Could that be possible? She looked so convinced of it and maybe Queen Serenity could see it in those blue eyes.
She was about to speak when suddenly all she could see was red. Pain invaded her body from her torso. A sharp pain that took over her so quickly. Her eyes looked down and saw her body had been almost cut in half and her mind couldn’t believe it. If it wasn’t for the pain, she would have believed that image was someone’s body... not hers. The red blood poured down her stomach and her legs failed her as she dropped on her knees.
Her eyes focused on the one that hurt her and her hands fired powerful waves of energy at him. Suddenly the power stopped flowing, as the red blood turned into a dark thick liquid that stank of death. It was putrid as it had been locked inside that body for centuries. The petroleum-like substance kept falling like a waterfall from her wound until the Queen became absolutely pale and collapsed on the floor. A mixture of blood and dark liquid covered what had once been the white image of kindness and love.
The moment her heart stop beating, her body started turning into thin dust. The process was fast and soon the body with the blood and the disgusting substance were nothing but a pile of gray and silver dust. A moment later this dust flew like smoke into the air, glowing full of power. The magical glow found it’s way into Kousagi’s body and the dust dropped back on the floor.
The Queen was gone, and it looked like her power had been absorbed by Kousagi, but the putrid smell never left that room.
