one of my new year's resolutions is to publish a piece of art every week and one big project every month. astra is my first weekly piece 🪩

as i likely won't be able to keep up with colored art every week, i told myself that even chibis or b&w is fine as long as I can put it out. trying to motivate myself to practice more

full body concept art of my hoyo OC/self inserts (for genshin, hsr, and zzz from left to right)

i refer to all of them in my head as "[game] izuna" but they have separate identities (more under the cut)

genshin: rui qian'nai, sumeru hydro bow lady model, a scholar of the sumeru akademiya who studies the chasm. originally from liyue (key character relationships: zhiqiong, kaveh + alhaitham, faruzan, wanderer, zandik)

hsr: 'cendrillon', imaginary erudition maid model, a memosnatcher who took the wrong path to amphoreus and accidentally witnesses the death of the great septimus instead (key character relationships: sunday, black swan, mr. reca, genius society - particularly herta and polka)

zzz: usayashiki izuna, electric anomaly lady model, an art critic who runs a radio show but her nighttime hustle is as an underground antique broker. has a rivalry with hugo the gallery owner but is mockingbird's biggest stan (key character relationships: hugo + vivian, the cunning hares, evelyn and therefore astra, jane doe)

haven't drawn the full air team lineup since the 2010s i think, they haven't really changed much conceptually but every time i do this i get a little closer to how they look in my head
