I have been struggling to find the words to put on paper. (draft from 26/10/22)

It’s been about two years since I was last on here, and so much has happened, yet not much at all, if that makes sense. Today, I felt inspired to come back, create more, and share a bit of life’s journey. Since my last post, I’ve graduated from undergrad and am now in my final semester of my master’s degree at Columbia University. It feels surreal to say that; it’s flown by, and I’m not sure I’ve fully had the chance to appreciate it. The world has been through a lot, and it’s been overwhelming at times.

As I wrap up my last month in school, I thought I’d turn this space into a bit of a farewell diary, maybe it’ll help me stay present and savor these moments before they’re gone.

I’ll also be working on some new wallpaper designs to share soon. Stay tuned!

And so these hands of mine have been hard at work trying to make sense of this thesis. After a week of fighting my own sanity and imposter syndrome, I have finally completed my introduction. The introduction being everyones nemesis, the part your whole work is judged on, the one that sets the tone for it all. One mistake could mean the end. And so now we commence on the core, the body, the part that holds it whole.

Constantly repeating this to myself while I work on my thesis/dissertation whichever you prefer to call it. The tension between me and avoiding the work has been high over the past couple of weeks. Alas, that tension must come to an end and my sanity with it. My thesis advisor requests material and I shall deliver it upon the death bed of my own wits. Lucidity is what we strive for thus achieving the quality of work that is struggling to be unleashed within us.
