Spent our last day in New Zealand walking the rocky shores of the lake. It’s been wonderful, travelling to NZ was the best last minute decision I think I’ll ever make; even if it was for only 6 weeks.

Spent the afternoon at Granite Island, off the coast of SA. Unfortunately didn’t see any penguins, but the weather was surprisingly good for winter! Albeit a little eratic. Blazing sunshine one moment, then heavy rain.

And so begins the long drawn-out process of obtaining a bank card, setting up taxcodes and finally; finding a job.

The area I’m in is pretty rich for fruitpicking, all year round I heard. Maybe I’ll give that a go!

I hope to eventually do something with this blog, I’ve never really attempted to run an organised, themed blog; but i’ll give it a go.

I’ll most likely post in a sort of diary entry format, and do my best not to have it deteriorate into reblogging.

I’m eagerly anticipating jumping on that plane! I’ve just got to figure out what to do with all my worldly possesions, i’ve left it too late to get anything sold now i think.

Australia

In less than a month, I’ll be leaving my job, home and entire life behind, getting on a plane and moving to the other side of the world. I don’t have a return ticket. The gravity of this hasn’t really hit me yet..

I’m 21 years old, and the furthest away from home I’ve been is Amsterdam (bruh). I live in a town close to Oxford, the majority of people here live out a work/drink/work/drink routine. We live to work, it’s no fun.

So, i feel some change is necessary! On the 7th of July; me and my partner are flying out to Adelaide Australia to stay with her relatives for a short while :) Afterwards I suppose the plan is to work and move our way up the east coast.
