The kind-eyed blonde tilting her bit, letting out a small giggle, nodding at his question. ““Yes, I mean why does everything have to have 5 different names when there’s not that much of a difference” she shook the bottle slightly.
kiernan shrugged and nodded in agreement with her, “i suppose you have a point.” he conceded, not that the topic at hand really mattered to him, but it didn’t really bother him either, “but when coming up with products people are not always the most original.”
it didn’t matter what the day was , even if it was the middle of the week , a tuesday or wednesday night the club was often still packed. he took a lot of pride in that , weekends though were often overfilled and his bouncers were focused on weeding through the crowd and keeping things under control. he paid them enough that they better do that. sometimes he simply sat at his own bar , pretending that he wasn’t the owner and just a regular patron. he hears the male’s voice , “ yeah not bad at all . bet the owner is pleased . ”
liernan smirked to himself as he looked around the club, one would think that with a club this packed in the middle of the week that most of the patrons would be sitting and drinking but no, there was still a fairy good amount of the crowd up and dancing, it almost made kiernan want to get up and join the crowd. almost. he looked over at the guy that replied to him and nodded, “i would be too, it’s good business.”
Bee rarely ventured out into the club unless it was the weekend, particularly given that her editor was on her case during the week to finish another chapter so he could look over it. However, she was attempting to avoid her editor this week, so she felt there was no better time than the present to be out. Perhaps a drink or two was precisely what she needed to get the creative juices flowing again; either that, or she’d drink so much that she could forget her woes. “You could say that,” she mused as she heard the voice, her index finger running along the rim of her glass. “Personally, I’ve seen better, but I imagine not everyone feels the desire to go out clubbing at eight p.m. on a weekday.”
kiernan chuckled and nodded in agreement to the woman’s words as he looked around then looked back at her, “the crowds are more enticing and plentiful on fridays and saturdays especially, but i suppose your right about people not wanting to be out. i’m kiernan and you?”
the middle of the week was kiernan’s favorite time to visit the club. the crowd was never really empty nor was it too many people that he would feel annoyed. it was the time of week when people would start to feel the strain of the week and wanted to unwind. as he strolled through the doors of the club. his eyes moved around the room as he made his way to the bar, “nice crowd tonight.” he commented simply to the one beside him.
““So, flavored water… why don’t they just call it juice? I mean, water isn’t supposed to taste like anything. And is juice just water with extra flavors mixed in anyways?”
kiernan raised an eyebrow at the girl as he looked at her from the side, eyeing the cherry red liquid in the bottle she was referring to. “is that really what’s on your mind right now?” he asked and the side of his mouth lifted only slightly as if he was amused.
a twinge of despair made it’s way in the pit of her stomach , about ready to call it quits and go back home ; a quick phone call to the mysterious voice behind the responder to explain !! but a charming man came to the rescue . a look of hope crossed her browns , & she smiled shyly . “ help would be amazing . i’m looking for a hotel … it should be around here , i think . ”
london was a big place, it was understandable for some people to get a little lost now and again. so it really wasn’t a surprise to see that she was just trying to find her way around. keeping up the charm, a slight smile appeared on his face and a chuckle flew past parted lips, “what’s the name of the hotel?”
He’d seen him dancing for just a moment before he began to move closer. Drakken’s body tensed for a moment as he considered his options. The encounter didn’t seem like one he could avoid easily without drawing attention to himself. Once the stranger sat down, dark eyes shifted towards only his hands and trailed up his arm until they rested on his face, taking in every feature just as he had when they made eye contact. “I’m not much of a dancer, if that’s what you were wondering.” He picked up his glass and raised it to his lips before muttering, “Not without a few more of these, at least.”
kiernan was considered himself to be a bit above average when it came to reading people’s body language. given that, and the fact that he had been watching the man as he approached kiernan could see the way the man’s body tensed and he had to suppress a smirk. he sat sat down and waited for a second as the other spoke. then, the smirk broke free and he said, “i’ll be sure to try and convince you again after a couple more drinks.”
The heavy base of the music pulsed through him, and he could feel the reverberations of the beat echoed in the motions of the dancers crowded together on the packed dance floor. It was a nice change from his office and the stack of papers he still had to grade. Drakken took a slow breath, feeling the heat, lust and adrenaline of the dancing crowd seep into his blood. It was amazing how similar the feel of lust for blood and lust for sex were. A shot glass slid towards him and he glanced up at the bartender before his fingers wrapped around the glass. He let his senses flare briefly over the crowd. He wasn’t concerned about what he might find. Just curious. Clubs like these attracted all kinds. It was always good to know who was here with him. All seemed normal until he picked up on one energy in particular. Shifting in his seat, Drakken’s eyes slid to his left and he made eye contact with them. “Well, this encounter should be interesting,” he muttered to himself.
clubbing was a pastime that was both fun and slightly annoying for kiernan. he liked the energy that was usually present in clubs. it tangible feeling of people just wanting to let go and the sexually charged vibe that people tended to give off both consciously and subconsciously. he had finished dancing for a little and was on his way back to his seat when he made eye contact with someone. after inclining his head to the side, a smirk graced his features and he switched course and made his way over to the man.
okay guys! i posted an intro ( i will get to sending those messages in a few minutes ) and replied to a few starters. i will post a starter for kiernan when i wake up, i will be on mobile for the rest of the night.
kiernan was strolling down the street, having deciding to take a little break from work and get some fresh air, dressed from head to toe in all black and walking with a purpose, he was almost content enough to hum. his musings were interrupted by a soft voice with a confused tone to it. he glanced at the girl and putting a charming smile that was almost sincere on his face, he asked, “would you like some help?”
“ do you have a light? and please, if you’re going to skip to the lecture of how it’s unhealthy to smoke forget i asked. yeah? “ the blonde forces a smile still angered by the metal lighter she chucked into the street after it shit out on her.
at the blonde’s words, kiernan looked up with a raised eyebrow as if to ask her if she was serious. what did he care if she smoked? he didn’t and he had no problem telling her as much. “i wouldn’t waste my time doing that.” he said, handing her a lighter.

( slight neglect tw, death mention tw )
he is an original vampire. before he was turned he lived with his parents, maternal aunt, and a younger sister he adored. his parents weren’t really the caring type and often presented themselves as uncaring or indifferent to their children. his aunt tried to spend as much time with him and his sister to make up for the lack of affection, but it was never really enough.
as he grew up he became less and less inclined about expecting anything from his parents and had long since fell under the belief that something was wrong with him and grew angry with his parents for instilling in him that he was never good enough for them to care about. the only one that he cared about was his little sister.
that same little sister that he adored was killed when he and his sister were walking back home after going on a little trip. four men attacked them and kiernan fought them off hard to the best of his ability but he was overpowered by them and his sister suffered with her life for his mistakes, he blamed himself and even to an extent he still does, it is a very touchy subject for him.
his sister’s death changed him and he learned to put up emotionless masks pretty quickly after that. he became even more uncaring then his parents, sarcastic even, and having no regard for anyone. when he was taken and forced to become an original vampire, he was not in the least bit grateful, he was angry even, but he buried it and was gleeful when the monarch was killed.
fast forward to today’s time and kiernan is still his less than charming self and now running his own big law firm. he is sarcastic and blunt, likes to play games, and knows how to turn on the charm when and if he needs it. he has a bit of a vindictive and sadistic streak, but he manages.
