Me, cleaning my CC folder:
My hard drive tends to fail like clockwork once a year, I guess because I ‘m an indigo child whose aura disrupts electronic devices, but this time my personal files were salvageable. I don’t really dare to try putting an old game in my new installation of TS3, though. In a couple of goddamn hours when all the updating drivers and fixing settings is over, maybe I’ll play a new family!
My mom, meanwhile, is working on an analog Sims legacy, i.e. a physical dollhouse that she’s building at scale.
1) This is, in fact, progress from earlier tonight.
2) If the 3d program whose perspective you trusted brought you to this, of what use as the 3d program?
3) Because I know you can’t possibly guess, it’s this statue of Gudea. Trying to lower the polycount was my downfall, and/or whatever happened to the UV mapping between Blender and the game.
4) I couldn't find the pseudo-Akkadian bust that was in TS2. I love the real one that it's based on, it's a masterpiece, but Gudea also fills me with inexplicable tenderness because he looks so eager to please.
Sometimes a jolly mood comes over me and I think, “Why, I should have another go at making objects for TS3! What fun that was! I wonder why I ever gave it up?”
Then I remember that Blender is a fucking nightmare and that I’m too stupid to understand the tutorials for everything else. Does Milkshape fuck up less often? Is TSR Workshop less awful than I remember? Am I being naive in expecting all life not to be suffering?
Meshing is fun, I can make meshes. (Don’t look through my downloads and contradict me, okay, a lot of those were learning experiences.) But getting a mesh INTO THE GAME is where Blender always lets me down. I hit export and a portal to hell opens.
Seriously, if other makers out there feel like recommending a tutorial that worked for them or something I would appreciate it. Idk how other people just dash stuff off but respect to you all.
So…I hadn’t seen this particular piece of common bathroom clutter around, okay? My current sim-dude has his girlfriend living with him and I thought she should have some of her junk in the bathroom. Mundane clutter is my favourite kind.
Two pieces, a tampon box and a package of maxipads. I am not being paid by the Tampax or Always corporation.

I just had to redownload all my own old stuff (previous hard drive died) so I noticed a lot of broken links up in here! I am fixing those and never using a URL shortener again, fuck it.
How you guys doing?
He’s a moosehead muppet on an ex-pat kick...
I made these awhile ago but was saving them for a larger project that never materialised. So here’s a moose head trophy from Bioshock; it’s already out there for TS2 and TS4 but not for TS3, to my knowledge.
The framed posters are for Canadian Pacific, a once-grand company that ran both railways and steamships, and had pretty cool advertising art.

Around the Sims 3 | Ruins… and more
You know how I like providing to our Sims anything cool that I envy to Sims 4, and those caslte ruins (aren’t they more church ruins?) are definitively something I wanted my Sims 3 to have as well, so I’ve adapted it to our game. I hope you’ll enjoy it too! :)
Also, @artrui made a very cool mod for Sims 4, allowing them to sit on fence or stairs, etc, and I wanted the Sims 3 to be able to as well, so I clone an armchair and a loveseat (so Sims can also cuddle on a fence, because why not? ;)) and gave them the property to move up & down, and you can make them invisible in CASt.

(PS: I might share my lot later, but I want to add a pond and some landscaping first, and who knows when it happens. It can be in a week or in a year…. :D)
“list index out of range”
So this is a Ptolemaic armillary sphere (or spherical astrolabe), a model of the heavens that tracks the paths of the stars and the sun. If your Sims like astronomy, alchemy, or just generally looking smart, they might like one of these to decorate their study.
The zip has a more complex model (top, left) and two simpler ones (bottom right). The high poly version isn’t actually that bad: 5K faces, or about as much as a long hair mesh might have.

These are armillary spheres or spherical astrolabes--very simple ones, because I didn’t want the poly count to get high. It’s an instrument from Renaissance astronomy (or up-to-the-minute astrology, take your pick), and I thought they’d go nicely with the alchemy stuff from Supernatural. Unfortunately I think I went too low-poly? I might try this again and really pull out all the stops.
I was in Russia for a few weeks in September, visiting St. Petersburg. There was a convenience store across the street from us (where I’m from we call it a depanneur). Maybe a small grocery store, I’m not sure what to call it. They sold booze and lots of snacks, anyway. We had to buy bottled water every day because the tap water there is not so healthy, and I loaded up on sugar too. I know almost no Russian so buying stuff was a roll of the dice, based on what I could deduce from the pictures on the package. These were my favourite. I’m tempted to call them pastries but Google calls them cookies, so okay, sure. They look like walnuts (”oreshki” means nuts) but they’re a soft, mildly sweet cookie outside with a gooey dulce de leche filling inside.
Anyway, here are some decorative oreshki on a pretty plate.

LINMEADOW by pleyita
Hey guys! Linmeadow (formerly Project Vertrose) is all finished after many, many hours of messing around in CAW. It comes with pre-built lots and requires very minimal setup. It requires all EPs except Showtime, no SPs, no Store content, and only a small handful of custom content!
Included in your download is the world file, some of the required CC (as the links are no longer available on those particular files), and a User Manual. PLEASE fully read the User Manual before asking me any questions. It should have all of the information you’ll need.
If you end up using Linmeadow and take pictures in it, I really want to see them! Tag your pictures as ‘Linmeadow’ here on tumblr and I track that tag and I’ll check it out!
Let me know if there’s any serious bugs or borkage. It should be fine, but the keyword is ‘should’. CAW and me aren’t buddies.

Small collection of stuff for a typical Marian home altar, such as your grandma or your really intense college-age cousin might have tucked away in a corner. Ash Wednesday is next week, guys, get started on your guilt.
The statue is really high-poly. I apologise. My computer runs fine with one of these on the lot, but don't go nuts with them. Looks nice, though.
Oh, and the statue itself is Mary as Sedes Sapientiae, the Seat of Wisdom. Often reproduced, it was originally the work of French sculptor Henri Bouriché in 1860, and is associated with the Sulpician order.
Anyway!
There's also an arrangement of wall icons and traditional religious pictures -- Severinka at TSR has probably the best table icons. Hers are very Orthodox, these are more Western. Starting at the top going clockwise: St. Mary Magdalene, a small cross, St. Joseph, St. Thérèse de Lisieux, the ubiquitious Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary double-picture, the Black Madonna of Czestochowa in the middle, St. Michael the Archangel, and Our Lady of Sorrows. (They are all on one mesh, which is shiftable.)
And finally, cloned from BauFive's stackable books, a few worn out old books. Couple of volumes of the Daily Office (also called the Liturgy of the Hours), the old green catechism, two bibles, Butler's Lives of the Saints.
(Flowers are by pocci and the baskets are I think ATS.)
