I don’t have time for that.
When it comes to spending time on things we WANT to do, but we DON’T do... can we all just agree that it’s not that we don’t HAVE time... but rather, that we don’t MAKE time? I’m growing so tired of hearing people fail to take responsibility for their own time. Sure, things come up that we can’t avoid, reschedule, or bail out on. I get that. But don’t tell me you don’t have time to color in a coloring book, or that you don’t have time to do yoga every day, or that you don’t have time to work on something you’re passionate about. You have time. We all have time. We all have exactly the same amount of time every day, in fact. But some people don’t MAKE time. And that’s fine too! Priorities, right? I get that. But take responsibility for it. Say you don’t make time. Put it back on yourself. Because maybe, just maybe, when you reframe your relationship with time like that you might just realize that you’re not a victim of the rising and setting of the sun, but rather are in control of your use of time. And maybe, just maybe, you’ll *start* making time where you haven’t in the past.
