Damon raised a brow in surprise, he couldn’t exactly deny that he was always up for corrupting someone, especially someone like her. “You’ve been missing out.” He almost drawled. “Well,” He pushed the door open for her to go out. “Since misery loves company…after you.” He took a deep breath, feeling already that he was in for a long night.

Stefan doesn’t realize he is doing such action. It’s a force of habit though, he had done it many times with Elena when she wanted comfort and even with Katherine when the quiet nights came and she fell asleep beside him in faud innocence. With Amara was to ease her mind and even his own. He feels a pull as the image is projected on her mind, and he knows he might had added some elements of himself toward the picture, but he seems to understand that the voices liked him better than Silas.

He hears her speak in foreign tongue once again and snaps his eyes open, green forest hues hovering over her features, trying to read what she was thinking. And then, he slowly tries to retrieve his hands from her forehead, once all was done, he cannot help but to feel the COLDNESS that came with such action. “Come. Let me help you get upstairs.”

She blinks and suddenly it all rushes past her instead around her, and it’s gone, leaving her but still there, in the back of her mind. And his warmth leaves her too, temporarily but his words wrap around her, filling her, replacing what Amara had tasted of Greece. It’s not unwelcomed, and it surprises her how strongly she feels for him. She doesn’t understand in what capacity she does, and knows in part it’s strengthened by how much he looked like Silas, but Stefan... he was filled with a rare kindness that she thoroughly would not let go of.

“Okay.” Amara replies, softly, blinking up at him with what she assumes is familiar eyes, staring up ones she herself was familiar with. Finds herself missing his touch already, rationalizes for it to do with how she and Silas had been like before. She brought up the forgotten glass in her hands, still intact beneath her whitened fingertips, and drank the rest of the water down before placing it ontop of the benchtop. 

And without thinking, like an impulse deep within herself, she lets herself be swept into the moment, she reaches out with one hand and grasps one of his own, the contact making her shiver, speaking to her of something everlasting. It’s that static again, between them,  whenever they touch and it means something, but she can not figure out what. All she knows is that she wants him near, it’s instinctual.

So, technically, my one year anniversary isn’t until the 12th of June but – close enough, right?
