the   buzzer   sounded   ,   thomas   had   scored   the   winning   goal   and   the   crowd   outside   in   his   college’s   football   stadium   erupted   into   cheers   as   the   red   head’s   teammates   surrounded   him ,   celebrating   their   win   and   congratulating   thomas   on   his   last   field   goal  .   after   the   celebrations   and   fist  bumping   his   friends   ,   he   went   to   wait   on   the   bleachers   until   the   stadium   emptied   telling   any   friends   that   came   around   that   he   was   waiting   for   someone   and   he   would   see   them   later   .   it   wasn’t   a   lie   ,   he   just   couldn’t   say   who   he   was   waiting   for   .   a   few   minutes   passed   and   she   arrived   ,   the   stadium   was   now   empty   so   thomas   was   able   to   hear   the   girl’s   feet   sauntering   across   the   concrete   and   over   to   where   he   was   sitting   –––   he   was   playing   a   dangerous   game   meeting   their   rival   team’s   head   cheerleader  ,   especially   while   still   on   campus   .   the   town’s   rivalry   was   that   serious   being   with   her   was   risking   his   spot   on   the   football   team   however   thomas   was   never   the   one   to   follow   rules   .   “   hey   ,   baby  .  ”   he   smiled   as   she   came   closer   ,    same   smile   turning   into   a   smirk   as   he   continued   .   “   so  . . .   your   team   kinda   suck   ,   huh   ?   ”
