Off Road Crash Head On

In this off road crash the two race trucks collided head-on while both vehicles were traveling over 62 mph. The Green car driven by Manfred and Daniel Schroder was on the correct course and as they came over a crest, the other off road vehicle driven by Jurgen Schroder and Mike Abramson, which was heading the wrong direction after getting lost smashed into them head on. Glad to see everyone came out ok. Couldn’t imagine being in their seats.

Grand Cherokee Swept Away

This Grand Cherokee driver found themselves in a horrible position as a flash flood swept their Jeep down a gushing river. The word on the street is the driver made it out alive, but this definitely could have ended pretty horrible for that driver. I cannot imagine what must have been going through that drivers mind as they were being swept away by this river. Be careful out there in the Texas flash floods and remember that sometimes even a Jeep is no match against mother nature.

Early Bronco Off Road

Who wouldn’t want to own this early Bronco. Watching this Bronco handle its own in Moab at the Bronco Safari really helps highlights how well rig was built to handle anything this Moab trail throws at it. It really is too bad Ford doesn’t bring back the early bronco style in a new modern version. Who knows though it could happen. In the mean time we are left to drool over the few early broncos  left on the road such as this magnificent example that have not turned into rust buckets.

San Diego Wheeling on Sidewinder Bronco Peak Jeep Trail

Bronco Peak is a short trail that is situated within the Corral Canyon OHV area and is located just south of I-8 near to the town of Alpine or about half an hour east of El Cajon. According to the Southern California Back Roads & 4-Wheel Drive Trails book by Charles Wells, Bronco Peak is an difficult rated nasty hardcore trail very steep with tight brush large boulders and that several places are steep enough to cause a rollover if driver is not careful front and rear lockers are recommended. And, even though it is only 2.7 miles long, it is also recommended that you allow about 2 hours to complete it and more if you are going with a bigger group. Being that this trail was so short, the 3 Jeep JK Unlimited Rubicons, 2 JK Unlimited Saharas and 2 JK 2-Doors Xs decided to first run another short but difficult rated trail nearby trail called Sidewinder. Unfortunately, it would also be the only trail that a majority of the group would do.
