     were all students from night raven college so edgy? sora can only blink at the unspoken threat, not because it falls on deaf ears but because they’d both get in trouble if caught so —— why would he turn him in? that just didn’t make any sense. ❛  i’m sneaking back into my dorm. besides, our headmage doesn’t mind. he knows i can’t really stay still.  ❜ to say that the headmaster wouldn’t mind wasn’t entirely correct; no doubt sora would be punished for being caught past curfew, but the severity of the punishment wouldn’t be anything too extreme. this wasn’t his first time wandering where he wasn’t allowed. ❛  i answered yours, so now you answer mine. what’re you creeping around for?  ❜

“Good to know your Headmage is as useless as ours.”  She’s starting to think it comes with the territory — Barbara’s said good things about hers, at least?  Their hands find their hips, and they seem to weigh their options before settling on the truth : “My Vice Housewarden is pissed at me, and he’s powerful enough that if I wanted to escape punishment, I had to disappear to somewhere he can’t find me for a while.”  It’s half a lie; Lilia is more worried than angry, and he’s never strict with her; that’s not what she means.   She couldn’t stand to see him look disappointed in her.  That’s so much worse.  “So, here I am, breaking into your lovely school to hide amongst the preps.”  The word has as much disgust as she can manage; ugh.

@fluminas : a kitten stumbles towards yuzuha almost - blindly: barbara’s goal, of course, is to reach diasomnia — if the combined forces of several powerful fae couldn’t fix this, they could at least keep her safe until the spell wore off — but as it turns out, walking with three feet rather one is more difficult than it seems. so barbara is stuck somewhere on the campus grounds (it looks so different from down here, can you blame her?), screaming at the top of her cat - lungs for help. / cat time sorry yuzu

Oh, no — 

Yuzuha is on her knees immediately, a palm extending towards the tiny creature.  With all the well - meaning impulsiveness of a shoujo heroine, Yuzuha, after giving the kitten a moment to sniff at her fingers, carefully scoops the small thing into her hands.  How did she get onto campus — she’s so tiny.  Is her mother nearby, maybe?  Or did her mother ——— oh, the poor little thing.

“Hi,” Yuzuha coos, carefully petting the top of her — tiny, little, so very small — head with one finger.  She’s glad there’s no one else around right now; she doesn’t want to share, and she gets the sense it might overwhelm the kitten.  “I’m Sasaki - chan.  You can call me by my first name Yuzuha if you want.  Or even just Yuzu.  It’s really nice to meet you, Neko - chan.”  Moving the kitten and her hands closer to her chest, Yuzuha cheks for injuries — nothing obvious aside from the leg, but there’s no blood or sign of scabbing, so she was likely just born that way.  “Let’s get you out of here before some big mean upperclassman comes and steps on you by mistake.  We can look for your Mama for a little bit, and if we don’t find her, I’ll take you home and we’ll find get you some food and milk, okay?”

The kitten screams in response; she’s got no choice to take that as a yes.  Grim is gonna have to adjust to being part of a multi - cat household at this rate.  As she straightens and starts off, knowing the sorts of nooks and crannies a mother cat might hide babies in, she adds, “I’ve got some nice soft blankets, and lots of cat food for Grim, so we’ll make it nice and comfy for you, Neko - chan.  Promise.”

     ah ——— ah, man. to be caught in his own fumble has sora shrinking in embarrassment / has sora shuffling his weight from foot to foot / has sora suddenly unable to really meet ruggie’s gaze. donald will surely have his head for this one! ❛  i suppose you could say that..  ❜ but what good would it do to keep anything a secret now? he’s already spilled the beans on the biggest one of them all! ❛  i’m not reeeally from this world. i guess you can say i’m.. kind of like a world traveler? except i’m not really doing it for fun or anything! well, it is fun but it’s not as if — i have a responsibility.  ❜ 

     wow, has it always been this hard to explain? sora can’t remember ever floundering with his words this much! but then again, when was the last time he’s had to explain this at all? ❛  there’s a lot of worlds out there.. and they’re in trouble! so i go around and help them out! kinda been tasked to keep them safe, if that makes sense.  ❜ he wouldn’t blame ruggie if it didn’t. sometimes it barely made sense to sora!

“It makes sense, I think.”  It’s a lot of information to take in, but Ruggie HAD ASKED — he’s not one to back down from a request that he made.  A world traveler.  A world traveler.  Ruggie believes him, despite it all; don’t they have another world - traveler here already, even if the prefect’s had been far less intentional?  Besides — Sora doesn’t lie.  (  he’s trying very hard not to think about the fact that this means his take on the great seven might have some weight.  )

“Does that mean our world’s in trouble, too?”  (  leona’s gaze lingers too long / a black stone / ruggie’s not stupid, despite what some people think.  )  His gaze — softens, after a beat, or at least goes less blank; he smiles, a little, sloping and sharp.  “Guess you weren’t kidding when you said you were tough.  You’ve probably seen a whole lotta shit, huh?”

heavily considering either deleting this blog or at the very least archiving it.  if i do at least some of these muses will probs be moved to my general multi — who’s to say!  i love writing this gang but genuinely i am not sure if i actually enjoy twst anymore other than just the like.  idea of these characters

either way if i do archive and move muses over, which (  if i archive  ) i probs will at least for the ocs, then i’ll let yall know :)

          SHIT—Ace had completely forgotten the agreement they’d made during history that morning. “No.” He’s almost indignant, but he buries it beneath a grin. His go-to suppressant. 

          “I don’t have sappy feelings. Just a few sappy thoughts while I was waitin’ for you come around. Why? You hoping they were about you?” 

Oh, THAT does it — eyes avert, cheeks flushing.  UGH.  Yuu is bad at noticing romantic feelings, let alone in themself, but he’s — but they’re blushing at the shitty pseudo - flirting, and they hadn’t always done that.

“Shut the hell up,” they grumble, shoving against his shoulder.  “But now that you mention it — who asked you to give me those chocolates on Valentine’s Day, Ace - chan?”  Oh, no, not the teasing honorific.

being around neige makes it easy to be bright and almost - happy — as close as barbara can get to it these days, in her freshly - washed - off face mask and drying toenails. “ we are !! ” she confirms, smiling slightly at the mere mention of her friend, but barbara’s face falls just as suddenly. 

 “ oh … i’m sorry i couldn’t be there. ” she’s only apologized for that TWENTY TIMES, after all, and that was before this revelation. “ did she — what happened ?? ” vil is strict, but her professionalism usually beats out all else … and neige isn’t exactly prone to fighting, either. 

“It’s okay,” Neige soothes; he’s glad she wasn’t there.  Vil apparently likes Barbara more than he’s ever liked Neige, so Neige thinks she would have been safe — maybe?  But Vil like Neige when they were children, too, or at least pretended better, and that hadn’t prevented — Vil from trying to ———

Neige checks his nails as though he doesn’t know that Barbara painted them perfectly, perhaps trying to buy time and perhaps just trying to breathe.  It’s still a frightening memory, the knowledge that someone you love had, at best, wanted to seriously injure you (  and they knows vil; they doubt she intended to stop at mere injury  ).  “I — might be overreacting.  Probably!”  They laugh uneasily, avoiding eye contact.  “But she — gave me a drink she’d gotten for me.  And seemed...on - edge.  Before I could drink it, their —— friend — Rook grabbed it out of my hands and told me to run.”

The silence stretches.  Neige doesn’t want to connect the dots.  “I — uh.  I ran.”
