Welcome back, Tatum Duval! This twenty-five-year-old returned back to Capistrano for her loyalty to Nash and the MC. While she’s trying to convince people not to follow Reverend Ezeikal’s guide, you can find her at Outlawed Repairs, which she is currently the bookkeeper. Even though she doesn’t see it, people say she looks like Cara Loren.

Due to the ways of the motorcycle gang, this girl’s sin is greed.

Unlike the rest of their family, Richard and Eileen Duval had originally had the same opinion and were very skeptical of The Family when they originally began their growth. When they were cut off from the rest of their living bloodline for being considered non-believers they moved to Southern California to start their life and family together. Richard got involved with all the right people and his music career took off rather quickly, providing a lavish lifestyle for himself and his wife. In the winter of 1993, Tatum Duval was born with a silver spoon placed in her mouth. A few years after her birthday, Richard’s band was sent on tour and somehow he ended up back at San Juan Cachaprio and mysteriously the rest of the tour was canceled. The Duval women didn’t hear from Richard again until Tatum’s tenth birthday, five years later, when he kidnapped her and brought her back to the compound to be forced into the cult lifestyle that he had come to finally believe in. It was a few months before Eileen knew exactly where she could find their daughter and had law enforcement pull her out and pressed charges against her husband. Tatum grew up using her father’s money that had been given up to the Duval women when he lost all rights to the band's music to fill the void she had from her lack of a father. The rebellion took over when she entered high school, always getting mixed up in drugs and partying. She met Nash Warner at the age of seventeen, quickly fell in love with him and the rest was history. Now she is back at the compound with him and their two-year-old son, purely out of loyalty to him and the moonshiners, if it were up to her she’d keep her son and their family as far away from the cult as possible.

Wanting nothing to do with the compound and only here on business, Tatum is now a Skeptic of Ezekiel’s word.

Welcome back, Maddy Lovell! This twenty-seven-year-old returned back to Capistrano to find the truth and put her mind to rest. While she’s stuck deciding whether or not to follow Reverend Ezeikal’s guide, you can find her at Le Botanique, which she is currently the greenery’s owner. Even though she doesn’t see it, people say she looks famous, they just don’.t know who.

Due to her conflicting feelings and emptiness inside, this girl’s sin is sloth.

A seventeen Susan Lovell came to the settlement of San Juan Capistrano very pregnant and alone. There was no father to her unborn child and her parents had kicked her out of their house for being a whore. Susan came in with welcome arms under the impression that her sins would be cleansed and her child would be given a loving and healthy environment to grow up in. She gives birth to a brilliantly blonde little girl, known for her wild energy and childish trouble making. She’s named Maddy and spends the early stages of her childhood within the grips of reverend Ezekiel brainwashing. Up until her early twenties, Maddy doesn’t remember a lot from living in the religious commune, she chalks it up to just being young. Who remembered their entire childhood anyway? Those few, fleeting glimpses of the past she can recall are happy times, like playing with children and being outside a lot. That was until her mother disappeared. One night she was tucked into bed and woke up the next morning alone. Panic overtook her and the cult leader took it upon himself to soothe her, but she was a strong-willed little thing. Something Ezekiel never liked about her. Whatever happened once those doors closed behind the kicking and screaming child, Maddy could never recall and would get horrible headaches and tremors if she ever tried.

Not long after her mother vanished, the police came in and arrested Ezekiel. Like many children whose parents left them behind, Maddy was taken and put into foster care where she remained until turning eighteen. With a wild streak still inside, she struggles with what’s expected of her as a member of normal society and up took a sort of nomadic life. Drifting in between cities and towns, making just enough money to feed herself and be on her way again. While inching her away across Arizona, she hears the news about the old cult’s land wanting to be bought and that people were starting to wander back home. That’s when the memories begin, at first when she’s asleep. Violent and red. She wakes up drenched in sweat and confused. Then small things begin to set her off. A smell. A sound. A voice that sounds like the reverend’s. Sometimes another shard of memory. Sometimes just a twisting, knotted feeling in her stomach. Maddy returns to San Juan Capistrano in hopes to find the truth. There’s no way all those things about the reverend could be true… But now, she’s not so sure. 

Once a devout believer, Maddy is now a Skeptic of Ezekiel’s word, but can her former beliefs shine through returning back home?

Welcome back, Winter Jameson! This twenty-five-year-old returned back to Capistrano to be with family because her mother passed away. While she’s not trying to detour people from Reverend Ezeikal’s guide, you can find her at the Grey house, which she is currently an in-home nanny. Even though she doesn’t see it, people say she looks like Billie Lourd.

Due to a young sexual awakening, this girl’s sin is lust.

Winter Jameson is the youngest of three children and was born in San Juan Capistrano in November of 1993. Her 'father' was a lawyer who was paralyzed from the waist down in a motorcycle accident. This caused him to go from being a man who was firm but fair with his wife and children to being abusive. In 2014, her mother, devastated by the abuse and accusations that she was having an affair, killed her husband and then herself. Kai was the only one of the siblings home at the time, later telling the elder sibling but leaving Winter in the dark. Winter's clueless about her parents' deaths until she returns home and Kai shows her the bodies. Upset and sickened, she threatens to turn them both in. Due to her parents’ death, she self-harmed but later recovered. Her brother Kai never left San Juan Capistrano, and he has convinced her to come 'back to the light.” When she arrived, however, her fear of her brother stopped her from leaving again. He is forcing her to relearn the ways of Ezekiel and trying to convince her it is the only way. 

Never wanting to grow up like her family, Winter is a Skeptic of Ezekiel’s word, but could Kai change that for her?

Welcome back, Nash Warner! This twenty-five-year-old returned back to Capistrano for a simple business transaction.  While he’s not riding around the compound, you can find him working at Outlaw Repair, where he is an owner. Even though he doesn’t see it, people say he looks famous, but they can’t place the name.

Since money and sin motivate his crew, this boy’s sin is greed.

Nash’s mother, Kathleen Morris, was apart of The Family beginning in her young adult life thanks to her father, Wayne Morris. Kathleen was one of the many women that went into the community for fresh faces to bring to the family, where she stumbled upon the handsome, but naive and sheltered Dean Warner. Dean was raised as a devout Catholic and very traditional Italian values, but something about Kathleen enticed him and he had no idea why. He fell head over heels for her and they welcomed their son Nash in the summer of 1993. It wasn’t until Nash was born that Dean began to be skeptical of the Reverend’s message and Kathleen’s loyalty to him. Shortly after turning seven years old, Nash’s father finally walked in on Nash being sexually abused. Nash was sent to live with Dean’s parents in Northern California. Throughout his late pre-teen and teen years, Nash went down the path his father had hoped he wouldn’t. Around the age of 16, he fell into the angsty rebels of his neighborhood, and found himself the family he always wanted. Nash joined the Moonshiners Motorcycle Club and made the outlaw life a lifestyle for him. Now, in full command of the 10 man crew, Nash has resettled into his homeland of Southern California with his two year old son and girlfriend. The manipulation and coercion that was embedded in his DNA was going to be put to test as the Moonshiners were about to start a new business venture; women.

Welcome back, Finley Carlisle! This twenty-six-year-old returned back to Capistrano try and find her home again. While she’s not trying to detour people from Reverend Ezeikal’s guide, you can find her at the Cake N’ Bake Food Truck, which she is currently the owner of. Even though she doesn’t see it, people say she looks famous, but they can’t place the name.

Due to psychological trauma, this girl’s sin is wrath.

Finley was six years old when Ezekiel was taken into custody, and she became a warden of the state - but not before enduring extreme neglect and abuse prior. Being born into a family with eight older siblings, it was apparent that Finley was a mistake. The child’s parents were bonafide hippies who joined the Reverend on impulse. They were never convinced by his word, or the message that he practiced - they just needed a place to crash while on their cross-country trip. Although, ultimately becoming prisoners and never making that adventure. Knowing that their children would never be able to leave with them and their cult they so deeply loathed, it was Finley who found her parents dead, both of their lifeless bodies hanging from a cedar tree in the backyard with a note tacked to the wooden truck explaining their deepest regrets. After this, she was placed with different families in the compound and was treated like a slave. Finley was scolded, beat, punished, raped, starved, and left with nothing but a broken spirit until she was taken into custody. Foster families didn’t last long for her — it was harder for her to adapt to their desired lifestyle with her emotions overpowering the process. There was so much rage in her because of her past that she couldn’t let go, she didn’t know how to control it and that’s what triggered the decision to place the child in a psychiatric unit where she would eventually be diagnosed with manic depression and bipolar disorder. Due to her inability to open up, Finley was in the unit until she was sixteen and emancipated. On her own, her downward spiral continued. Drugs became her solace and she allowed herself platonic relationships, but never settled in one place for too long to get comfortable. She adopted a scam artist lifestyle, which is how she happened upon the food truck that is now her primary source of income and a way for her to channel her emotions without medications. Going back to the Compound was a hard decision, but it’s the only home she’s had.

Since her childhood was rougher than most and she could never find peace,  Finley is a Skeptic of Ezekiel’s word.

Welcome back, Genesis Demorest! This twenty-five-year-old returned back to Capistrano try and relive old memories of her mother. While she’s not trying to detour people from the Reverend Ezeikal’s guide, you can find her at the Sweets and More Bakery, which she is currently a  manager with a dirty secret. Even though she doesn’t see it, people say she looks famous, but they can’t place the name.

Due to only feeling alive at the touch of another, this girl’s sin is lust.

Born in 1993, this Capricorn was put through more than what “normal” person would go through on a day to day basis. Genesis’ mom was very close to Ezekiel Torres, thus making her obey every rule and punishment. When Genesis was only six years old she was passed around to one of her mothers man friends during the incident she ended up pushing the guy off of her - rebelling thus causing her to hit her head and ending up in treatment for a couple days. Once she woke up she couldn’t remember a thing she had memory loss for a couple of days and then things went back to normal - or so everyone thought. Later down the road once she moved away from the hellhole she was diagnosed with BPD [boarder line personality disorder] which was caused from the fall. Genesis’ mom died shortly after the Reverend was convicted, she died due to suicide. Having BPD causes Gen to reach out sexually since she fears being alone. 

Her child life was like many other’s in the compound, and for that reason, Genesis is a Skeptic of Ezekiel’s word.

Welcome back, Bryce Danvers! This twenty-three-year-old returned back to Capistrano try and find clarity on why her life is so fxcked up. While she’s not studying from Reverend Ezeikal’s guide, you can find her at the Under the Son Daycare, which she is currently a  preschool teacher. Even though she doesn’t see it, people say she looks famous, but they can’t place the name.

Due to frustration with herself and others, this girl’s sin is wrath.

A child born to parents fighting their own demons, Bryce Danvers learned at a young age just how fxcked up the world could be. With a drug addicted mother, and a father who believed little boys were put on earth for his pleasure, her world came to a screaching holt at ten years old. No longer being able to hide his addiction, Bryce's father was arrested and sentenced to life in prison without parole. Child services stepping in led to her being sent to live with her grandmother, where she would suffer physical and sexual abuse for three years until she ran away. Finding what appears to be an abandoned town, she was adopted into a family of believers and finally found the “missing” part of her.

The blonde had always searched for a sense of belonging and family, and when stumbling upon the town, she found that. Bryce is a believer of Ezekiel’s word and fights for their right to stay on their land.

Welcome back, Casey Torres! This twenty-five-year-old returned back to Capistrano because he is entitled to most of the compound.  While he’s not taking his anger out on his next victim, you can find him writing for Behind The Fog, a website he runs. Even though he doesn’t see it, people say he looks famous, but they can’t place the name.

Due to his childhood, this boy’s sin is wrath.

Casey Torres was born into the cult back in 1993. His father being reverend Ezekiel himself, he was groomed at a young age to take over as leader of The Unity. However, at the age of 5 the young boy was having difficulty sleeping and suffered from delusions. He was diagnosed with FFS as well as DID. Ezekiel seeing his kin sufferings, he believed the boy was a product of Satan and was often beaten for association with the devil. As a young adult Casey made a living off of documenting his disorder on his website Behind the Fog. Yet his childhood haunts him leaving him with sadist tendencies and anger as his sin. Moving back to the city for the soul fact being the reverends son entitled him to a majority of the structures in the compound, yet he is a non believer due to seeing the true evil his father practiced on him.

Due to how he was raised and seeing who his father really is, Casey is a Skeptic.

Welcome back, Bowie Conners! This twenty-eight-year-old returned back to Capistrano after missing the feeling of “home!” While she’s not studying from Reverend Ezeikal’s guide, you can find her at the local Five and Dime, which she owns. Even though she doesn’t see it, people say she looks famous, but they can’t place the name.

Due to her rough past, this girl’s sin is lust.

Bowie is the product of incest. As a child, her natural fiery red hair and her parent’s sins caused her to be viewed as the Devil’s Child. In the Reverend’s guide to a sin-free life, he does mention that incest will happen, and if a baby was to occur, they needed to be purified by an older, righteous man. This resulted in her being passed along the “elder’s” in the cult like a cheap porn magazine, while she was abused and tortured. When any ceremony would be performed that needed a sacrifice of blood or womb, she would be called upon and as a result, she always wears longs sleeves and has had many children in her short life. When the reverend was persecuted, she was brought for psychological help, where she was diagnosed with PTSD and Paranoid Schizophrenia due to the intense trauma she endured as a child. Not being able to hold her, she went back to the compound because “it made sense” and stopped taking her medicine. Along with being a little jumpy, her schizophrenia side makes her very sexual, which is also common among abuse victims as they age.

Thinking that the Reverend has cleared her of her sins and she will be allowed peace in the afterlife, Bowie is a believer of Ezekiel's word and fights for their right to stay on their land.
