Me when Jang Kang popped up at Hui Su's house
I'm reviewing it on my blog!
For some reason i'm not in a rush or that excited to watch the final season of Squid Game (i'm going to watch it eventually).. So I don't know why they're even bothering to make an American version of it.
Am I the only one that wasn’t fond of Past Lives?
So, I finally watched Past Lives, a film that’s been on my watch list for over a year now, and honestly... I was underwhelmed. I kinda feel crazy for not enjoying it cause I so was positive it was going to be a favorite of mine, based on the trailer’s aesthetic and high praises.Â
You can find out why I didn’t enjoy it from my reviewÂ
Jdrama titles r so unhinged
The weirder the title, the better the drama
Whoever said Ryan Coogler looks like Lavender from Matilda… I can’t unsee it. He’s really giving cutie patootie
Cook being in Sinners makes sense
I was so excited for this movie because I heard Marlon Wayans was starring in it and it had something to do with Jordan Peele. Turns out Jordan only produced it, but I’m still excited and definitely plan on seeing it! Marlon Wayans is one of my favorite comedians. Even though I’ve never watched anything with him outside of comedy, I just know this is going to be good. I’m going to binge some of his more serious roles/stuff outside of comedy; just to see more of his range.
My type of humor
I just sat and watched the whole 5 minutes and 37 seconds of Pedro Pascal's Apple commercial... and i enjoyed every second of it.
y'all this whole time I thought it was Park Shin-hye in Age of Youth/Hello, My Twenties!, but it was really an actor named Ryu Hwa-Young. I loved her character in that drama. I'm going to check out some of her other work.
Dear Black Mirror, We Are Tired of the American Celebrities
So, I watched the trailer for Black Mirror and noticed Rashida Jones, Awkwafina, and Paul Giamatti and got annoyed. But then I saw Issa Rae, and my eyes lit up. I was so happy to see her! Then, almost immediately, I got annoyed once again when Tracee Ellis Ross pop up, along with everyone else.
I went to TikTok to see if people were as excited about Issa Rae as I was, but to my surprise, I saw others annoyed with all these celebrities, too. I’m not sure why everyone else found it annoying, but for me, it's because I’m too familiar with these actors. Living in America, you constantly hear about them…their stories, scandals, and connections. And since they’re the ones who actually have access to the kinds of technology and lifestyles Black Mirror critiques, it feels weird seeing them in a series that’s lowkey calling them out.
When they cast British actors, I don’t know their personal lives, who they hang out with, or what scandal they were in last week. It doesn’t have that hypocritical feel. Maybe that’s how British people feel when they see their own actors in the show, but even then again, their industry isn’t as messy as Hollywood.
Overall, the series was just better when it wasn’t packed with big-name stars. The topics they covered were amazing. But I’m still going to give Season 7 a try.
That being said, I do want to say that my favorite episode ever is Striking Vipers, and it’s literally with Captain America! I didn’t realize at the time that Anthony Mackie, who plays Sam Wilson/Falcon in the MCU, was in it. They did a great job acting, and the topic of the episode was amazing.
South Korea has the best melodramas

anyone else feel like Je-Yi and Seul-Ki are sisters?
Nothing gets me more mad than a school drama
So the new kdrama Friendly Rivalry has premiered, it's the first episode and I'm already furious! I just hate when people are mean for no reason.. and honestly even if there's a reason what tabitha brown say "don’t go messing up nobody else’s day". This series has an eeriness to it. I'm excited to see what's that about. I like it so far. Should I review each episode?
ummm why didn't y'all tell me Seo Kang-joon and Kentaro Sakaguchi were twins?!
