something I really love about funger is how casually it treats queerness. Like yeah, we're both men but who cares, lets have sex to become a horrible flesh abomination and regain our limbs. Yeah that girl was born with a male body but raised as a girl but shes cool with it and likes being a woman actually. yeah this shy boxer jojo reference guy is probably gay but we need to kill the remains of the moon god.

but also the way all of these things DO inform and affect the characters, the way they act and how the world acts towards them (less so in f&h1, but its ok). Like cocoon/marina moonscorch as a visual representation of gender dysphoria. the way dysphoria feels like a cocoon stifling and trapping the person you were meant to be, the ropes tying the cocoon up as a shorthand for lacking/losing personal autonomy.
