it’s really hard writing for a story where you kind of just have to guess on the lore for a lot of stuff.

getting rid of the separate origins and making it so there’s only one.
i wish you could choose best friends in Bioware games like how you choose romance options. like its treated as a romance but on a platonic level e.g. there’s a best friend quest line and people comment on ur friendship and U wear friendship swords and before the final quest/mission you have a BFFL cutscene and everything. please bioware I want to be platonically loved
Keeper will not be one of the specializations in the Civil War game and will be replaced with Necromancer. Arcane Warrior will also only be available for elven mages, human mages will instead have the option of choosing force mage. This is due to the cultural significance of keeper and arcane warrior.

DA4 learning specializations
There are three specializations for each class and three different ways of learning them.
- One of your companions will teach you if you have high loyalty or high friendship, but they will have abilities that you can’t learn.
- There is a side quest where you can unlock a specialization.
- You can purchase a manual somewhere.
Each of these different ways let’s you learn a different specialization. All of these specializations will be new even if some of them are based on old moves (like bard skills or anti-magic spells).
So I had an idea for an approval system that involves two different types of approval: personal and leadership approval. Personal approval results in points towards friendship and leadership approval results in points towards loyalty. Personal disapproval causes rivalry points and leadership disapproval causes dissent points.
A lot of respect points come from decisions and a lot of friendship points come from conversations, but not all. Also for romances you have to have high personal approval, and whether or not leadership approval matters depends on the character.
In Civil War, force mage is going to replace the keeper specialization cause 1) there’s no way in hell Velanna would have taught a human that magic no matter how much she liked them 2) it’s really just offensive allowing humans to use that magic and c) i’m to lazy to come up with a way to make it an elf only thing.
About your character: gender
Gender choices: Female, male, nonbinary (non-specific), agender, or genderfluid
You also choose how people perceive you(separate): feminine, masculine, androgynous, or agender.
You have a choice of five pronouns: she/her, he/him, they/they, ey/er, xe/xyr
All three of these can be changed whenever.
You can also customize your body to look however you want regardless of the gender you choose.
This applies to all games.
How i'm going to tag/talk about things
The story about ending slavery in Tevinter will be tagged as da4 99999 and refered to as da4.
The game about the grey warden civil war will be called Civil War and be tagged as gwcw. This game and da4 overlap timewise.
The double blight game will be tagged as and called double blight.
I’m going to be reposting a lot of older stuff in this new format.
For better organization I'm going to start writing random thoughts in text posts and proper organized information on chat posts.
So these were the specialization ideas I had for Uprising:
- For mages I was thinking Summoner, and some kind of mage that specializes in fighting other mages and uses some of the anti magic and mana spells form origins. The second one would be some ancient elven magic that you learn from Flavian (who rediscovered it and is now trying to restore it).
- For rogues I’ve got Siren which is a more magic form or Bard but still involves using your voice and tricks to fight. A second one I was thinking of would involve one of you companions/agents (i don’t know yet) coming up with gunpowder and giving you a gun, teaching you how to use it and teaching you how to use grenades and stuff. And then another one I was thinking of was Lyrium Ghost except for a rogue? I dont’ know.
- For warriors i’ve got Spirit Warrior and that’s it. I was think of like, a rune warrior? Like someone who tattoos runes into their body? Again, I don’t know.
Input?
grandenchanterfiona answered your question “So gunpowder, unrealistic to put in these games?”
Black powder is gun powder
So could I have a rogue specialization that involves using guns?
So gunpowder, unrealistic to put in these games?
If you get high rivalry and/or dissent points from Druscilla then you are not going to get a happy ending.
Ok so in da2 there's an elf girl (Lia I think?) who Hawke saves from Kepler. You get a letter from her dad in act two saying that she's picking up swordplay and has taken some inspiration from Hawke. I always hoped we would see more of her, especially after Dagna got reintroduced in Inquisition. Someone like her would be cool, don't you think?
I forgot about that letter (though honestly I haaaaate that quest so i probably tried not to think about it) but yeah I agree.
The base of operations for the slave rebellion is like just outside of Tevinter in the Free Marches so she can at least be at the base helping out.
