I just finished an episode of one of my favorite J-dramas, and it really hit me. The female lead brought her husband to her hometown for the first time, and the welcome he got from her relatives was insaneāthey treated him like a total superstar!
What moved me the most was watching him bond with her family and get to know her through their stories. There was this one scene where she woke up in the middle of the night and found him quietly drinking with her parents; they were just sharing stories about her childhood. Then, he went back to the room, tucked her in, and gently patted her to sleep. It was such a soft, emotional moment that it made me tear up.
To my someone: Iām so excited to share my childhood with you someday. It was full of lifeāplaying outside, meeting so many people, and having relatives who cheered for every school achievement. I was so close to my cousins, and I remember "playing chef" in our backyard. It was a happy time. How about you? What are your favorite childhood memories? :)
