ranking lady generals in cdramas i've watched based on how quickly i think they'd kill me in a fight

he yan (legend of the female general): i literally cannot remember a single fight scene from this drama, but it's in the name so i know she's capable. i'm guessing i could dodge for a quarter of a minute or so.

fan changyu (pursuit of jade): because she'd want to give me a fair chance that i would absolutely not be able to take advantage of, i think i'd last up to 9 seconds.

li shuang (shadow love): i think i remember her being pretty capable, and i have the distinct disadvantage of not being a mostly naked cheng lei so there's no hope of distracting her. dead in 6.3 seconds.

chu qiao (princess agents): the og played by zhao liying, aka the only chu qiao i acknowledge. who would kill me very dead in 2 seconds.

shen li (the legend of shen li): she's a phoenix with magic powers. i'm toast. 1.12 seconds.

fu yixiao (fated hearts): it's my honor to be stabbed by this woman. 0.5 seconds.

thank god they kept the part from the novel where xie zheng essentially threatens the emperor's authority because he Can. "go back and tell that young emperor: if he no longer wishes to sit on the throne any more, i can easily find someone else to take his place." it's a lot less obvious in the drama because the novel expands more on Who Exactly the marquis of wu'an is, but in the novel it really shows how powerful xie zheng is.

i know she's supposed to be this ditzy, out-of-touch heiress character who's secretly useful in some way (and will probably have some redemption arc with her denouncing her family) but i really don't like kang nora right now. she was fine when they were living in a dorm together and working the same way but her privilege in these few eps vs the way keum-bo is trying so hard to see justice served for the hanmin employees, go bok-hee is salvaging whatever she can from what's happening now to give herself a better life and mi-sook is lying comatose in bed is just so apparent. i can't say i hate her because she isn't cruel or evil the way her family is but watching her get so much handed to her on a silver platter, although she doesn't like it, while everyone else is fighting for something is just so.......

also i'm kind of enjoying undercover miss hong cos i really want to see how she pulls off this whole thing. i'm not personally invested in any characters so far but i'm very curious about shin jungwoo's motives for Being Here at all.
