the thing is like ultimately i don't need every bit of consuming to be perfectly historically accurate there will always be room for creative interpretation & sometimes i even enjoy it when they do this deliberately with thought but like what really annoys me is when you can just tell a choice was made not because it might be an interesting approach but purely bc they were crying shaking throwing up at the prospect of having to put people they think consider good or attractive in any historical look that might diverge from their modern sensibilities of what looks attractive or properly masculine or feminine or whatever. like get over yourself
