âOooh. Good point.. Er- I mean. If ya really wanted to see those I wouldnât mind either!â Yet itâs clear from that little giveaway that particular line of movies werenât his strong suit. Already did he offer a mental kick himself at that hint of disinterest. Was this.. A price to pay for being into those kid-like movies or ones wound up with tons of action? Thankfully it didnât seem too much mind was placed into it as they now pressed through the now empty campus.
Itâs just like she said, even the air itself despite Tokyoâs current plights held a smidgen of something different he couldnât put into words. All of that heavy business was promptly tossed to the side in his mind. Having Haru by his side here, hell, everything going on with today held a hell of a higher priority above anything else. Above all else that determination to make this one of the best decisions she couldâve ever made lit overrode anything else. It wouldnât be much longer before they stepped out into the city streets.
His clutch upon the sizable chunk of chocolates was as protective as ever as they basked in the peaceful silence. Many of the student populace and even faculty for that matter had scattered off. It almost foreign to witness. âMan. I can see whatâcha mean..â
âThereâs hardly anyone out here for that matter. Not that I blame âem though.â
âOooh. Hittinâ the streets sounds like a good idea!â He quickly agrees as few ideas spun in his mind. That afterthought of their times together offered one key memory; she didnât seem all that familiar with the knick knacks of how broad the horizons can be.. What better way to go and spicen up this date of theirs! If anyone were to pay an attentive eye to their duo, Ryuji wasnât being shy in the least bit in walking closer to her.
âWe never really had much of that shot to hit up all cool places together, huh? Shibuya on foot winds up having all these awesome little stores if look up close enoughâ
âThat.â A shy chuckle surfaces as he canât resist looking so content. âAnd a night with you would be the best.â
Flyers and advertisements had flooded street, radio, and televisions across Japan, so Haru knew with utmost certainty that they would have something to occupy themselves on such short notice. She had no necessary need of scheduled outings anyway, especially with her dearest friends. And besides, something so spontaneous as what theyâd concocted here this afternoon, even with such simple intentions, sounded like grand fun to her.Â
Many would call these things corporate tools, methods by the same forces which they fought so valiantly against in the Metaverse. And having been part of the top of corporate advertising in the shadow of her father all of her life, Haru would be inclined to agree. But who was to say they couldnât have their fun with the more enjoyable aspects of this?Â
âWe neednât decide right away,â she assured him, tone cheerful and renewed in its energy. âAnd that aside, I am certain there will be plenty to chose from with all that will surely be going on tonight.â
Wasnât it strange? How.... excited she feels. Was this normal? It wasnât as though sheâd made a grand declaration of undying love, words like ribbons and precious gems adding ornament to her heart to give. It had only been chocolate. Hand and hard-made chocolate, but chocolate nonetheless. Nothing worth falling over in her opinion. And yet something about this exchange had sharpened things, the world feeling a little more saturated, brighter and bolder in its color.
In a moment of boldness, the heiress reached out to slip her dainty fingers over his, and in grasping his hand, trots a few quick paces ahead to urge him along as they descended into the street.Â
  âSo let us hurry!â
All of a sudden, she was quite eager for their meeting of thieves to begin and end as quickly as possible.
