Honey eyes gazed up to meet the man’s as a small gasp came from her, he was rather tall and breath taking. At his question, she blushed faintly as her pearlish white head nodded. “Y…yes. Im alright, are y….Ah!!” The scent on alcohol hit her nose after moment she stared at his shirt. Covering her lips slightly as her eyes widened realizing what happened when they ran into each other.
“Oh no! Your shirt and tie….I’m so so sorry…..let me make it up to you. I can make you a new shirt and tie or buy one…as I’m unsure if I’ll be able to get the stains out.” The poor girl was freaking out a bit as she felt terrible for ruining his nice clothes. “Please, let me repay you for my clumsiness.”
Covering her ear as the music blared loudly, cause her to jump and step closer to him as it startled her. “Um….is…is there somewhere more quieter we can chat.”
"Good." While there was some genuine concern for her wellbeing, he also had not needed a problem on his hands due to his own slip up. No one had been hurt, and it seemed there were no hard feelings on either end; he could breath a sigh of relief at that.
"Don't worry about it." His words were somewhat apathetic, but they were truthful. Identical ones hung in his closet at home, and so the loss of one shirt wouldn't be anything monumental.
"I should have went home anyway, aside from working, clubbing isn't necessarily my scene." Not to mention it was particularly depressing, considering he had been in his own. The circumstances lightened that outlook, but it certainly looked rather pathetic.
"We could step outside, otherwise I don't think there is any other way to escape the noise." Even then he had to speak up in order for her to hear him. "Really, though, there's no hard feelings, don't worry about it."

[ SPORK TRAITOR ] :
All it took was one swift movement. A hand quickly raising, shooting out, and snatching the damn utensil from the thief’s hand. It was relatively simple, considering it was unexpected (at least Diabound had assumed, considering the way he brandished the thing and rambled on).
“You can get this back when you learn not to hyper fixate on things.”
❝ !!! ❞
The thief had been waving his precious cheap ass Stabby Mc Spork Spork the Second in front of Diabound’s face, as always completely oblivious to the obvious ire and pure salt that bled through that sour expression, that laced that bitter voice. In one moment he had been clutching his stabby utensil tightly, barely blinking only to find it snatched away. Held now like a taudry trinket within those lithe fingers, porcelain pale.
……He took….
……..His……spork…
HE TOOK HIS FUCKING SPORK!!!!
CUE DESPERATE ATTEMPTS TO GRAB IT BACK FROM THE SPORK TRAITOR!!
❝ FUCK OFF, DIABOUND! I DO NOT ‘HYPER-FIXATE’ NOW GIMME!!! ❞
He absolutely took the spork.
Luckily the elder still held a few inches over the thief, and so the object was lifted above his head and out of reach.
It shouldn't have been funny, and yet Diabound found himself warding away a coy smirk that threatened to pull at his lips.
"You do. And I'm not giving it back. So you can continue your fit or knock it off before I toss it into the desert."
[ Brother ] :
“Oh, I’m sure.” Apathy who? More like Diabound. Look it up in the dictionary, you’ll see a picture of his face.
“You do that. I’m not getting involved.”
❝ I may have named it already!! ❞
Juuust continues to wave the god forsaken spork right in the other’s face. Still TOTALLY oblivious to all that salt.

It's one simple swift motion. His hand rose, and the stupid utensil was plucked from the thief's hand, relatively easy enough considering he hadn't expected it (at least he assumed from the way he was droning on and waving it around).
“Come on Ri, please!” Frowning as she had refused a few times now to go to the nightclub. “Look, if you go to the club with us tonight we will do one thing you want for coming.” Puffing her cheeks as she hardly believed that, as last time they bailed on her when she wanted to see a horror movie. “Anything?” The three of them looked at each other, nodding and spoke at once. “Anything! If you refuse we will set you up on another blind date tomorrow.”
A few hours later they were outside the club in line to get in, she could already hear the awfully loud music and still wondered why she agreed to this outing again. Right, because they promised to do an activity with her and she couldn’t say no, for reasons. Just no horror movie and they should be fine, hopefully. Once inside, they all grabbed her arms and gently pushed her back toward the dance floor.
“N…..no you didn’t say dancing was included!! Just coming!” The girls laughed as they started dancing around her, frozen still as she couldn’t dance, they knew this and yet still forced her on the floor. After a moment they got distracted with some other friends and few guys for her to slip away.
Hurrying away from the dancing as quickly as she could without running all to bump right into someone. “O…oh dear, I’m….I’m so sorry!”
@unwaveringobedience
It was not a pleasant evening.
The dim lighting, flashing strobes, and blaring music were all aspects of the club the man had grown accustomed to. Working had never been a concern, nor had it ever seemed like some burden as many feel at their jobs. So, no, the irritation did not come from his presence, but rather the fact it was unneeded.
Someone had desperately needed a switch and it seemed contacting Diabound had fallen through the cracks. Dressed and ready with little else to do, he decided he may as well enjoy himself (however little he could) before he headed home and got some well deserved rest.
Although not the biggest drinker, he was content on ordering a beer (boring, but it did the job) and slithering off to an empty table where he could enjoy his beverage. It was harder said than done; Diabound was a stunning man, both due to his unnatural appearance and, if course, attractiveness. It wasn't out of the ordinary for a woman or two to strike up a conversation, getting between him and his table.
Slipping through a group of dancers, he found his target and quite nearly made a b-line for the table. A small body crashing into his own stopped him in his tracks.
The stench of alcohol reached him before the dampness of his clothes. One glance down revealed a soaking wet button down and tie, leaving him no doubt stained and smelly. That would be hard to wash out. It was afterwards did his white irises raise to meet with the young woman who'd caused the accident.
"Are you okay?"
He was bigger than her. Besides, it was better than complaining about the clothes.
[ Brother ] :
A spork is seriously what replaced him? Honestly, why is he even surprised? This shouldn’t have been surprising in the slightest.
❝ Hey Diabound, look at this. Isn’t this just the coolest fucking thing ever?? I’m gonna go stab the pharaoh with it!! ❞
Juuust obnoxiously waves lil plastic spork right in front of the older’s face, oblivious to the other’s rising salt levels.
"Oh, I'm sure." Apathy who? More like Diabound. Look it up in the dictionary, you'll see a picture of his face.

Bakura has a new Ka now. It is SPORK

" take it easy. You're in rough shape."
“You should see the other guy.“
It was an offhanded, and barely cognizant statement that flew from red stained lips. When it had finally sunk in, and he had managed to digest just what had escaped him, he quite nearly found himself laughing; that was no doubt something Khalid would have said in the same situation. Perhaps he truly was rubbing off on him.
Bar fights were typical; hell, they were common with the lifestyle the men lived. Hanging around the seedy parts of town was always a gamble, and it had not been the first time they found themselves in the throw of flying chairs and glittering blades. Diabound was accustomed to these brawls; had lived through many of them and had come to deem them as a typical part of his life. More often then not they would leave, triumphant, blood and adrenaline pumping and a sense of victory in the air.
Blood was certainly pumping this time around, though some of it was external. Not that a broken nose was any monumental injury; though it was enough to cause for irritation and a bruised ego. Along was some potentially bruised ribs. He was no professional by any standard, but he could definitely feel the pain flaring with each breath and assumed a chair smashing over his chest would leave some kind of mark.
He would undoubtedly be bruised and battered for the following couple of days. Not that he would have time to dwell on it; that was never an option.
"It isn’t as though we haven’t seen worse before. Though I will admit, it has been some time since it’s been to this degree.” And it was the fact he had not only been caught by surprise but had been ambushed that boiled his blood.
Leaving victorious lessened the blow if by only the slightest fraction.
“I’ll be fine, don’t fuss over me. All I need is a good night’s rest.”
Reblog this if your muse is protective of their loved ones.
hurt sentence starters blood, broken bone mention.
“you’re going to have a bruise.”
“it won’t heal if you keep picking at it.”
“you were out for a few days. how are you feeling?”
“absolutely not. you’ll pop your stitches.”
“take it easy. you’re in rough shape.”
“those pain meds knocked you out.”
“where’d you get that bloody nose?”
“make a fist for me.”
“where does it hurt?”
“ow, ow, ow.”
“that’s going to need stitches.”
“shit, that hurts.”
“is it broken?”
“keep ice on it.”
“ouch!”
“i can’t even look. is it bad? wait, don’t tell me.”
“you shouldn’t be walking around right now.”
“how am i supposed to sleep with all these bandages?”
“stay in bed and let me look after you.”
“there, you’re all patched up.”
“let me help you to your room.”
“how many fingers am i holding up?”
“take your time. slow, slow. you’re doing great.”
“you could have a concussion. ”
“i’m okay. you can stop hovering.”
“you’re lucky. you could have gotten seriously hurt.”
“how exactly did you manage to give yourself a black eye?”
unwaveringobedience:
A quick glance had been stolen at this familiar stranger, before those white irises were shifting elsewhere once more. If there was a flaw to be spoken of, it was Diabound’s ability to become momentarily lost in thought.
“Hm.” It was a soft hum, one that brought him back from ancient times and, more importantly, ancient burns.
“I can’t assess your knowledge of magic or ancient rituals; of black magic. I’m not from this time, though it seems you have some awareness of this. I knew someone who looked very similar to yourself. We were close. He got mixed up in things he should have strayed from.”
Silence fell for a few fleeting moments before he cleared his throat and reluctantly continued.
“It was a shock, and I’ve been doing my best to adapt. My life has never been a forgiving one, but I will admit this world is more lenient.”
“Do you have a place to stay?” The words were out before Ryou had even thought them, much less thought to stop them. If he had thought, he would remember that this was a stranger, even if he could summon a ka that just so happened to find itself in Ryou’s deck by the spirit’s doing, a stranger who had been following him.
Ryou never did claim to think things through.
“I mean… well, ok. I meant what I meant.” For some reason Ryou felt responsible, a strange tinge of guilt in his gut. Just another thing to think about later. “At the very least, I’d like to offer a meal. Not as charity. Simply… repayment for that information?”
Ryou suddenly felt all too aware of how he might be coming across, and pity with looking down on was something he wanted to avoid.
There was an initial bout of shock in regard to the question posed. He understood the implications, but with the hesitation he had shown Diabound chose to simply shrug it off. “When have I ever had a place to stay?” Despite how horrible that most likely sounded, it was almost amusing to the man who had grown used to sleeping outside, to adapting and overcoming what the desert had to throw at him.
Pity--pity was something he was unfamiliar with. It was incredibly hard to detect when he had never received it.
“You seem nervous offering that. Do you think I’m so prideful?” He mused, and for the first time a smirk quite nearly tugged at his lips. “That may be so, but I am also no fool. Turning down a meal would be stupid.”
unwaveringobedience:
“Thank you.” While it may not have entirely been directed toward him, he appreciated the confirmation nonetheless. It could at least give him some sense of ease among the chaos.
A slight scoff had escaped him, and he shifted in response, his gaze wandering away from the other, posture shifting.
“I don’t claim to understand shadow magic–or magic of any sort. But there are consequences when one interferes.” He found his teeth momentarily biting into the side of his cheek, nearly busting through the skin until he carefully pulled himself from the act.
“I’m here. I’ve been surviving as I always have been. You can imagine, then, seeing you had been a surprise.”
Well, that hardly answered anything. Ryou felt even more confused, his brows knitting together as he tried to figure out the meaning behind those words. Seeing him? Just because he looked a bit familiar?
“Interfering? Always? What do you mean?” Curiosity had always been a flaw of Ryou’s, willing to push people or himself far more than he should for the sake of answers. He couldn’t stop himself, though, from nearly bombarding the stranger- Diabound, he reminded himself- with questions. It was so new, and Ryou hadn’t the foggiest clue about any of that. It was like walking with a blindfold in an unknown area.
He just wanted a peek.
