Where is he going?
TW: Vellora got SA (touch without consent) by Foelh. She revealed to Tiss in this update during in her romance diamond scene in episode 3 of season 4 called “Hug Vellora”
To made it worse, Jester, his technical designer and his editor didn’t put the trigger warning accompany to the diamond scene. I was caught off-guard and felt uncomfortable during the whole diamond scene.
TTS isn’t wlw friendly at all. One f li got SA in present timeline. Another one is nowhere to be found and massive sidelined. I don’t think Jester care about wlw players. So with this incident, I decided to drop this book. It’s a shame though because I thought he is improving in f li writing a bit and actually enjoy Vellora’s route during S1 and S2.
@yeullove here is scenes that you’re looking for.
Ps. To Jester’s fan, pls don’t make an excuse “but Foelh didn’t sleep with her”. Touch without consent is one of a form of SA and it’s unacceptable.
I say "romance club" but the fandom is just as bad
Truer words have never been spoken. They're biased AF, it's not even the fact that he's popular that they post about him obsessively. It honestly makes me dislike him and I'm getting really tired of seeing his face. Remember this fucking book stood out at first because of the diverse LIs. Not just yet again another platinum red flaggy blonde you literally find in every romance novel.
Bruh I feel like a clown for supporting RC since mid 2024, only to find out they're backtracking on everything they've said. 😑
I've been feeling like that soon after I started playing tbh. They're not backtracking exactly, they just say what people want to hear while pretending it's coming from a place of "love and support", while they won't hesitate to throw people under the bus if it benefits them (I'm talking about the triggering topics and the cultural disrespect). People had complained that the Kali representation in the books was disrespectful, yet soon after that they even made a card of her with tongue out and looking like a cartoon villain. Because there wasn't an actual hit on their views after that controversy.
I honestly was only playing Soulless after HS2 was over. And discovered RC when HS2 was two updates before its finale. So I wasn't aware of what was going on and didn't even know this was an eastern european company. Their stories have started getting better and less problematic around a year ago, so I stayed because they basically have a monopoly in the VN market now. I have only given them real money three times during these years, and one was now for Soulless finale. But other than that, I think it can be a good strategy to only be a free to play player and just read the books from authors you support. Ideally, apps like Storyscape, Lovestruck and the old Choices would still exist, so it would be much harder for RC to reach a broader audience and have the opportunities to take advantage of them. But if they're gonna take advantage of you, take advantage of them back.
Life became 10 times more enjoyable since I convinced myself I can drop any rc story that I don't enjoy reading anymore and that I don't have to force myself to read their updates anymore
+1 at the tags too. I'm honestly even grateful this book is an absolute filler because I'm finally free of caring about what happens to it.
Not the official RC mods in that sub deleting the Tiffany posts for no reason, while leaving the Declan ones up. Which btw didn't break any rule, like not using a spoiler or being a double post. It's not a secret this app is homophobic, but now they don't even try to hide it. Makes me feel like a reaaal clown for still being around...Not to mention the whole Russian app issue and how they pretended to keep the wlw routes because of their ""values"" as they were building its launch all these years.
I don't care about Achievements, but since Soulless is my favourite book I collected them all. They were fun to do and I gathered around 1500 gems (with paying for some choices).
All of Vyxaria's Archdemon forms (had to censor the Lust one because it's flagging my post)
My favourite is Envy (first). Although she kinda looks like an injured roach, it's the most interesting out of the three for me.
They don't make a family here, but explore the ocean and the world

Someone called Liren and Eleonor mentally unstable and crazy.
This is the exact part of their charm 😌

I don't even dislike him, but I'm kinda getting sick of seeing Declan so much everywhere. At least the story itself is balanced so far, but I can imagine if this was a different author, it would get super insufferable with the resources and screentime distribution. Hopefully Waterlily doesn't go there
What are your top 10 favorite RC stories?
Ranked by how much I personally liked reading them. Most of them are newer stories as I didn't like the old ones much.
TLDR; Soulless, ATR, HS2, WLBE, PUB2, CB, LSE, SOS 2, Waterlily, ABH/HS
I'd never expect Anton to stoop that low, considering he isn't really a fan of Japanese culture, courtesy of @miss-revy-1412. He isn't the only vn writer who took inspo from existing IPs, but his AN3 is almost like a subpar version of popular anime shows combined. Tbh I'm not that familiar w AOT & EVA, though I did watch them growing up, esp the rebuild EVA era. Atp I have no idea why AN3 is in the top 10, considering the romance is almost non-existent. 🤷♀️
I bet he pretends he's not a fan of Japanese culture to throw the "suspicions" off. Like he can't be a thief if he doesn't even watch anime and he's not a fan of the culture that made it, right?
I'm honestly baffled by this book's popularity too, but I can think of some reasons. Besides the mandatory red flag grab, for Russian speaking authors it's easier to gain a following than western authors, if you look at the popularity section. He also already had an audience from his previous works in LOD.
Second, plenty of fans don't know what AOT or NGE is, so to them the concept of Advent is pretty catchy and creative....And then you also have the fans who know but don't care. Just see how popular AI in the fandom is. It's a very similar situation with stealing someone's exact ideas. Mindless consumption and people who use AI to write their essays. And this is why out of every book, advent is the one that bothers me the most. When something sells, they keep producing more of it. If people read regurgitated works with less effort, what's the point of a money making company to produce something with a soul and people's brains to keep working?
AN3: Yeah, this is exactly like Neon Genesis Evangelion
(Warning: spoilers)
The difference is that in NGE, they used Christian mythology and language. In AN3, it’s Greek mythology, which ties in perfectly with the AOT angle.
This is exactly why the Angels were attacking in NGE. Instead of “advent” they used the word “impact.” First Impact took place in prehistoric Earth. Second Impact took place in Antarctica. Geez, is there anything original in this book? Third Impact was the end of the world.
And then there’s the Evangeli—I mean, Prometheus. I can’t believe how unexciting its debut was. All this build up and what do we get? A giant hand. Splat. That’s it? That’s IT?
Omg, this book is nothing but a waste of amazing borrowed ideas. The blue balling is unbelievable!
This is exactly why I have below zero respect for Anton. It's one thing to get inspired by something, or even have a rewrite of your own version, and another to add very specific key details (which are A LOT in Advent's case) and then even act like you don't even know these works. It's honestly so shameful thieves like this are in the top ten. I've dropped this book really early, really soon after I saw from the trailers that the Titans looked and walked exactly like AOT, the chase scene was highly likely literally extracted and stolen from an AOT clip, and you immediately get hit with the three protective walls against "Colossi". The scummer didn't even bother to change the AOT layout of the city and have at least a different number of walls. This is from what I've seen from just the first seconds of playing the book. Shortly after I dropped it. I'm not going to give it views by diamond farming it, because that still counts for its popularity. But just from other people's screenshots you have: the exact same equipment from AOT, the reveal that the Titans were humans all along (a big deal reveal in AOT). And now of course NGE.
Anyone who has said this wasn't an AOT steal has obviously never watched AOT and has no idea what they're talking about. I usually shrug off books getting popular that I think don't deserve it, but in this case I will blame the audience for making this popular. No wonder the romance here sucks. Anton only bothered stealing the plot. In his next book, which he will unfortunately be having, he could steal the dynamics of some popular pairings and the audience will praise him for his improvement.
