     They say that the most dangerous part of a hurricane isn't the rain. It isn't the floods, it isn't the lightning or the thunder. It's the wind, because the wind is fast. Because you can't see it, or hear it, and you don't know it's coming until it's too late. It's the unknown chill down your back. It can be warm and hazy, lull you into a false sense of security, and then- snap, it's cold, and icy, and it lashes out at you. it can pick up broken pieces of buildings that were once whole, that you once called home, and turn them on you in a split second, hurling them at you like bullets. it can throw sand into your eyes, blinding you to everything around you, and create waves out of the calmest ocean. It can move whole mountains, if given enough time. it is truly the most terrifying element.
