Bangladesh in Positive Light
№ 22 | a true capital city (a bustling metropolis Dhaka is the capital and largest city of Bangladesh. it is famously know as the City of Mosques for having at least one in every two kilometers. “the history of urban settlement in the area of modern-day Dhaka dates to the first millennium”. on and off it served as a capital since 1608, starting with the Mughal Empire. while today it is infamous for it’s busy and crowded roads and alleyways, as well as densely populated neighborhoods, it has a rich history of culture, politics, commerce, industry, media and eduction. since the Mughals made it their provincial capital Dhaka became the commercial capital of the empire, and ever since served as a major hub in that part of the world. visitors to Dhaka can find numerous things to enjoy, appreciate and do on any given day, including visits to historical sites, stop by fine museums, appreciate wonderful architecture, bargain for best deals at many of the local bazaars, as well as enjoy delicious food in one of thousands of restaurants. the truth is that one can spend days, weeks and months to explore the beauty and offerings of this engaging and evolving metropolis and still have more to discover!)
