G!N Reader x Brett Hand (just that i used pretty and beautiful)
Summary: You swipe right on a real cute guy and match seconds later... two weeks after that its the first date.

You flop onto your bed after you've showered and changed, its friday and you've just come home from work. Excited to talk to Brett, you open your messages on the Right Swipe app.

Happy that Bretts active and also at home, you get comfortable and start texting him.
How was your day at work?
I finished taking a shower, i also just came home
Brett quickly replies the moment you sent your message
But now that you've replied to me i don't feel tired anymore!
Your lips curl up into a smile as you start texting him back.
Before you could even press send he texts you a question
The first time you both face timed was a week ago, the whole time he was being so smiley and a little nervous on camera but he warmed up and eventually became talkative.
He would pause for a few moments to let you have your word or opinion in, and would always ask you questions (sometimes he was a little too nosy, but he would get the hint and stop asking such questions and would apologise.).
it was clear that he started to love talking to you and almost everyday after work you would call each other to ask how the other ones been doing.
A few seconds later your phone vibrates in your hand, Bretts profile picture and the red and green icons on the screen. You answer the call and Bretts face greets you, he's in his bed, his stomach facing down and his head resting on his pillow.
"Reader!" He says as he readjusted a little
"How was your day at work?"
"It went well, i just couldn't wait to talk to you when i get home."
Bretts face turns pink "I could'nt wait to get home too"
"Since i have something to ask you."
You feel curiosity fill you up at his question
"We've been texting and calling eachother for a while, i was thinking that maybe we could see eachother in real life and go on a date?" He asked nervously as his head tilted to the side like a puppy dog.
"I mean, if you're free this weekend-- if you dont have anything planned, maybe we could." Brett stuttered as he added
"But you dont have to, if you dont want to, i mean, we could do it some other time." He trailed off, his eyes averted to something else in his room as his smile dropped and his brows furrowed.
"Brett, of course we can." You answered gently, Bretts face lit up again and he looked back at the screen.
"Im free this weekend, in fact im free tomorrow!"
"I've made plans for Rock Creek Park, and we could go there tomorrow, we could go there for a walk and eat somewhere!" Brett said cheerily
The next day you took a bath and wore the best clothes for a date you could find in your closet. You checked the time on your clock and it was 10:21 p.m, you grabbed your car keys off of your keyhook by the door and rushed to your car. You sat down in the drivers seat and took one last look in the rearview mirror before you started the car and drove off.
You arrive right on time and check your phone for Bretts message for where he's waiting. A familiar voice calls your name, as you look to the direction from where it came you see Brett waving at you and making his way towards you.
"Reader!" He calls your name and smiles ear to ear
"There you are!" he says and almost hugs you but hesitates and instead gives a hand shake. You chuckle and pull him into a hug
"Brett, im okay with hugs!" You say and after that he recipricates and tightens the hug as he laughed too
"I just wanted to check, its my first time meeting you and i don't wanna make it awkward for you."
Later after that you went on a walk with brett and talked for a while. Its a sunny but windy day, an hour later you both got tired and sat on a bench to continue the chat.
"I finally got to see the person making my day, and he's sitting right next to me" You say teasing Brett a little.
"And i got to meet the most kindest and sweetest person ever" Brett said blushing after what you've said
"So im not pretty?" You joked and Brett quickly answered
"Of course you're pretty-- you're beautiful!"
"But that's not whats most important to me" Bretts face flushed red even more.
"I think you're pretty too Brett Hand, but that's also not whats most important to me"
Brett thanked you and continued "My looks arent important to you?"
"Of course not, its whats inside" you say as you put your hand onto your chest.
"You're pretty on the inside too, Brett." You added as you put your other hand on his shoulder. His eyes sparkled and watered
"Oh gosh, i think im getting emotional" he whispered quietly
After that you both went to a cafe near by and had a blast talking even more, sometimes noticing other customers giving side eyes at how loud the both of you were when the other would laugh, You and Brett were embarassed by what happened and shushed each other.
"We're sorry if we were being loud" Brett says while standing up before he sat back down. Sure you were embarassed but it quickly faded away as you started talking to Brett again, this time making sure not to be too loud when you laugh.
Brett made you open up and you made Brett do the same.
The day was coming to an end, Brett followed you back to your car and opened its door for you.
"See you again next time?" He asks while holding the door open as you entered.
"Yeah, see you again next time" you flashed a smile, and quickly gave him a peck on the cheek.
His face flushed pink again "ha, cant wait!" he chuckled and before you closed your door he asked "Maybe on a weekday?"
"Maybe on a weekday!" You answer filled with cheer "I'll text you if im free!"
"I'll text you too" he smiled and closed the door for you.
You started your car and drove out of the parking lot, you looked to your side mirror and see him waving at you, you suddenly hit the brakes and open your car window. You look out of it, your head, whole torso and upper body poking out
You shout "And make sure to call me!"
You sat back down onto your seat and drove off back to your house, the moment you stepped foot into the living room you checked your messages.
