hi i just want everyone to know that i will never ever EVER be angry with anyone for not replying to my texts even though you’re visibly online and reblogging/posting. i understand that holding a conversation takes a lot more energy and effort than scrolling and posting and that’s 100% okay. take care of yourself first. the whole idea that you HAVE to reply to someone when you’re online is toxic and makes mentally ill people feel as though they are bad friends just because they can’t always reply within minutes.

Your pen stabs on the paper.

You laugh, taking another paper to write meaningless words in. You swallow, each breath feeling like swallowing all the things that made you yourself and erasing it. A soft sigh escapes your lips, "I am happy for him."

A long pause exists between the two of you, and you spent it looking at the black space in front of you.

You want to write his name to let him go. You want to write his name so you never forget him.

You look down to yourself, feeling the dampness building up in your eyes.

"Being happy for him is not moving on," she says, frustrated. She stands up to walk out of your workshop, tears in her eyes, "Being happy for yourself is."

When she slams the door, is the moment you shed your tears.

You think of last night, of the sight that you saw — Jeno with his new girl, someone who brought the stars in his eyes back to life. A month after he broke up with you.

It's not that you're judging him, in fact it's quite the opposite. You're glad. You can't be any happier than you are for him.

And no, you're definitely not lying.

Your promise of forever still haunt me, you whisper in your mind. But be happy.

And, with bitterness lacing you letting him go — just don't forget about how much happier I made you.
