I am really tired of being pressured into replies. I really am, it is why I basically abandoned the Dragon Age Fandom, except for being toxic. I am a busy person, a single mother and still mourning. I do my replies, as I please and not as some people around want it to.

And being pissy at me, when I don’t get to their replies first, well, your loss. Seriously. Stop that shit. It already killed my inspiration for a couple of muses. I am so done with this.

Not everyone would PINPOINT a Witcher, Ciri merely knew his nature because she was acquainted with those eyes. Back in Kaer Morhen she’d known those of his ilk… && she missed them dearly, but also held a grudge, for she believed Geralt to have abandoned her after promising he never would.

It wasn’t time to DWELL in the past, though.

‘Witchers don’t work for free.’ Falka commented, at last gripping his forearm so that he could haul her up in the saddle behind him. ‘Expect payment once we’re done. Coin shan’t be much of a problem when we get there.’

“I don’t do this as a part of work. This is simply helping a young lady in an unpleasant situation.” He pulled her up, so she could sit behind him on Sor’ca. His mare barely made known, that she wasn’t happy about carrying two people, but she would survive it. At least this girl had the weight of a feather. 

Yorund thought, that her words were just that. Words. Without meaning, so he simply put this as a friendly act of helpfulness. 

Sor’ca snorted again and then quickly fell into rushing gallop. He loosend Katla from the saddle, keeping the reins in one hand and his silver axe in the other. “Where is this camp exactly?”, he yelled against the wind.

 Dettlaff remained stoic even though the joyful treat fromthe man reached his understanding clearly. His mood was too grim to even smirk in such a foolish remark, and yet,he released a sharp sigh through his nostrils as a hint of acknowledging thebrief sense of humor.

 “I see. A witcher from afar.” He hummed, eyes darting at theman as he halted at his tracks, then his hand, that was open for grasping.  The vampire took a moment, eyes glidingupward to meet the other’s before his pale hand slid into a warmer one. With asqueeze of a friendly greeting, the moon lover nodded his head. 

“Dettaff. Pleasure to meet someone that understands with aword  rather than slashes with a sword.”

“Pleasure to meet you, Dettlaff. I cannot help but say, that I am really positive surprised. I may have judged your kind too early, I fear.” Yorund smiled gently. “But it’s never too late to change your mind, is it?”

Slowly, after pulling his hand back to himself, he walked on. Dettlaff had a really cold hand.. but that wasn’t surprising at all and it didn’t bother the witcher. He wanted to have a nice conversation, not cuddle him. 

“I prefer to try the word first, before Katla gets dirty... I mean.. my axe..” He cleared his throat slightly.

He laughed softly at Ciri’s hug and wrapped his arms around the young woman in return. “Ah, come here, little princess.” Yorund lifted her off her feet, spinning in a circle. “Look at you. All grown up. How pretty you’ve become.” A proud smile was on the witcher’s face.

“What brought this on?… Well.. I am not complaining.” Yorund laughed then and wrapped his arms around Dettlaff. “Of course, my vampire friend!” He patted the other’s upper back. “Want to grab a drink? Do vampires even drink, Dettlaff?”

Yorund smiled softly and returned Eskel’s hug, pressing the other witcher to his chest, patting him on the back. “It’s alright, we all need a hug sometimes.” A low chuckle rumbled through his throat.

“Well… this is a bit unexpected.. but.. “ He shrugged and wrapped his arms around the smaller woman in some kind of bear hug, lifting her a bit off her feet.

“Certainly true. Very smooth, Eskel.” Yorund laughed, after he had pulled his shirt over the head and climbed into bed, not without still chuckling to himself.

“I used to do that as well. The Path is full with literature.” He joked chuckling as he sat besides him, still flipping the pages of a book. After not returning to Kaer Morhen to winter, he didn’t bother on picking any more books, or buying more for that matter, not having a place to put them. “Some of these are really rare. I might have to stay longer than just for the winter if I want to read them all.”

“Well, stay as long as you like. If you want to spend the whole year reading.” Yorund raised an eyebrow and shot the other witcher a side glance. He found himself actually not feeling bothered in the slightest, if Eskel would wish to stay for a bit longer. He ruffled himself through his ginger hair, before giving a short sigh and finishing his apple, to get back to work.

Eskel arched an eyebrow when Yorund leaned forward, tilting his head. But soon after just gave a shrug. “Nearly dead and cheap.” It’s not like he had Kaer Morhen to go back to, and a cheap inn in the middle of nowhere bested abandoned huts in the wild and caves to spend winter.

At his proposition, he narrowed his eyes, but didn’t take him long to know what to reply. “That’s very nice of you and while I don’t wish to be a burden to you, I can’t help but accept your offer. Thank you.” He smiled and nodded as a thank you. “These are on me then, and let me buy you another. As thanks.” With that, he raised his hand until the maid saw him and after a moment brought two more tankards for them.

“What makes you think you are a burden? I am being completly selfish here, you know. The house needs a bit of work and four hands are a lot faster with that, than two. Also, it’s pleasant to have someone to speak to. You are very welcome, however. The people in the village are used to me, as a witcher, so you won’t get any spite on that behalf.”

He took the new tankard with a thankful smile to the maid. “Right, those are the thanks I highly approve of. Thank you.” A low chuckle rumbled through his throat, as he lifted his drink.

“Thanks for the compliment, asshole.” The witcher snorted and then laughed, what made his head hurt in an instant again. “The innkeeper tried to grab my ass last night, wasn’t that pleasant.” He shivered in disgust. “Nah, you’re not ugly. You’re charismatic, my friend.”

“No problem. I’m here to serve.” He replied with a chuckle as he downed the contents of the tankard in front of him. When Yorund told him about the innkeeper, he shivered, glancing at said person, and laughing again. “Well, look at that. What a catch, eh?” He sighed and raised his hand, to call for the maid to bring two more tankards for them. “Charismatic, ugly, same thing. Anyway, I was going to head to the forest, since the innkeeper didn’t let me stay, or grabbed my ass. You’re welcome to tag along.”

“Well..” He looked again, but shook his head. “... How about no... I mean.. Even as a Witcher.. I have a certain pride, you know?” Yorund snorted a laugh. “It’s not the same thing. Scars make you interesting. Most of all when they are clearly visible. But they also make you unapproachable.” The witcher scratched the stubble on his chin. “Very well, not have the desire to stick around here, anway. When do you wish to leave?”
