Thousand Years Worth
Even with the best of reflexes it was hard to avoid running into a person who so suddenly came to cross her path. Rise also was not prepared for the sharp pain in her left foot that inevitably would follow its collision with one of the falling books that just had to hit her with one of its corners; a yelp being her immediate response. Honestly, how clumsy could this person be?
âHey, canât you watch outââ Pain truly didnât bring out the best in people, and the same was true for the idol; but her tone softened when her gaze finally fell upon the other girlâs expression. She did look really sorry; no, she actually looked like something else was troubling her as well.
âI-itâs fine; Iâm fineâ, she insisted with a weak smile, before leaning down to pick up the book - if only for the sake of lessening the pain - and handed it back to its owner. âWhat about you? Are you all right?â
A gaze over the other girl made Ange realize that she had ran into a famous idol, and a really sweet one, at that. She took the book that the other girl held out to her. âI... Iâm fine. I just have things on my mind, and it distracted me. Iâm incredibly sorry, especially because youâre a famous person...â
She got back on her feet and offered a hand to the other girl. âI can make it up to you, if you want company. Iâm Ang--Yukari Kotobuki,â she said, correcting herself at the last moment. Angeâs family was known as well, but for less savory things, and her pen name was something she wanted to get used to.
