I made a post about male suicide a while back and got a lot of shit.
I just wanted to tell you that a friend of mine works for Samaritan health service for their suicide hotline. She told me a 'funny' story.
The majority of her time is spent screening and blocking phone numbers so that the lines are free for people who need help. Why does she have to do this ? Hundreds of times a day men would call up while masturbating, of course they would only stay on the line if the operator was female, which the majority are.
Men have always taken advantage of women's kindness and they always will. It is not our job.
Whatever your views, it is clear that poor women, and particularly woc, are always going to suffer most under these anti abortion laws.
And if she’s a rich white woman? Oh, she is totally fine.
In Texas, for example, you think anyone will kick up a fuss if an unhappily pregnant millionaire’s daughter catches a plane to NYC or California for a couple of days?
I am begging liberals to find a way to discuss how misogynistic laws disproportionately affect poor women and woc without acting like rich and/or white women can somehow opt out of misogyny.
Exactly. This shit is so exhausting. By all means make a post about how poor women are disproportionately affected by abortion restrictions, but stop acting like whiteness and money are some kind of impenetrable barrier to misogynistic laws. A millionaire’s daughter is still going to be largely reliant on her father agreeing to her traveling out of state for an abortion. It’s also very telling that this poster mentions a millionaire’s daughter rather than a female millionaire-it’s almost like they realize that women’s access to resources is largely filtered through the males in their lives, which is…not great, champ.
Also, there doesn’t seem to be any recognition of the huge number of women who fall between “poor” and “millionaire’s daughter.” Like I am white and by no means poor. I have a master’s degree and a well-paying job so I am fairly privileged economically and definitely based on my race. Traveling to another state for an abortion would still be a significant hardship for me. My well-paying job expects me to actually be there, and I have people in my life who rely on my presence. For a large part of my adult life, traveling to another state either twice, or for long enough to deal with a waiting period (which exist in 26 states), in addition to paying for lodging to cover potential recovery time in addition to the cost of the procedure itself, would have been absolutely, categorically impossible without asking my parents for assistance. And I was never close to poverty level.
Again, we should absolutely be talking about how poverty and misogyny intersect, but that conversation stands on its own two legs perfectly well. It does not need to include fucking over women who have slightly fewer barriers to accessing abortion care. People are just itching to have one specific group of women that it’s fine to dump the misogyny they haven’t fully unpacked onto.
I watched “cinnamon roll” bloom, wither, and pass away, and I watched “tol” and “smol” bloom, wither, and pass away, and if it please God so too shall I see the demise of “blorbo.”
I am trying to raise money to cover my cat’s surgery costs. Full story below the cut.

Normally I keep my non-terfy works off my terf blogs, so that I can’t be found irl and have my whole life and income destroyed. But I am sort of desperate and going to risk it this time and just hope that this doesn’t reach any TRAs. My regular terfy patch shop is also open and taking orders: https://littlest-terf-shop.company.site/
If you want to order something from both shops, message me, and I will give you a free shipping coupon for one of them so you don’t pay 2x the shipping.
Just 4 months after losing Miku in such a horrific way, I have to ask for help again.
Vincent, my 12-year old cat who I've had since he was 3 months old, likely has intestinal cancer. He is going for a diagnostic surgery on Wednesday, to have biopsies taken, which will be analyzed to confirm the diagnosis. The surgery will cost 600 euros. This does not include the 300 euros I have already spent on various analyses and procedures, nor the cost of his treatment after the surgery.
^^Here is Vincent at the vet, getting an ultrasound.
It is possible that I will have to euthanize him anyway after the surgery. It is possible the cancer has metastasized and cannot be held back with treatment and Vincent's quality of life will continue to deteriorate. But it is also possible that it is not cancer at all. And if it is cancer, it is possible that it will respond to treatment. In any case, I am not capable of making the decision to just let him die just because I'd rather not pay for the surgery. I want to find out for sure what's wrong with him, so I can have the best chance to help him get better, or if necessary I can make the decision to euthanize him only if I KNOW FOR SURE there's no hope for him. 12 is still young for a cat, he could possibly have a good handful of years to go. I am still so far from recovered from Miku's death. I still cry over her nearly every day. If I lost Vincent now as well, I genuinely don't know how I'd survive it.
I will be trying to get a loan to cover the surgery, but I don't know if I will be able to get it. I still have the last payment of the loan I took for Miku's vet bills left to pay. My only income is my online shop, and it's irregular and not very high. The smaller amount I need to ask for for a loan, the higher the chance I can get it.
So I am asking for help. To fundraise for Vincent's surgery, I am opening preorders for an enamel pin featuring Vincent himself. He has little devil horns, because he's an annying little asshole, and it is my hope I can have him smashing things off my shelves and clawing my face at 6 am to ask for food for a good couple of years still. There is also other Vincent-inspired stuff in my shop, like handmade earrings.
I will also be so grateful for any donations: paypal.me/st4rfighter
