This mobile game has been a ray of sunshine for Rivetra shippers.
1.) Levi and Petra are depicted together on multiple banners for the Levi Squad release event.
2.) When Petra is in your squad and you fail a mission she says "Sumimasen, heichou!" which translates to "I'm sorry, captain!"
3.) Levi mentions he's thinking of choosing Petra for the Special Ops. Squad during his crossover episode with Armin, "Clear and Resolute."
4.) In Oruo's episode, "The Power of Assists," Petra says it's an honor to be selected for Levi's squad.
5.) Petra's episode "A Letter Home," is the game's Rivetra goldmine.
Levi wants to share some of his new tea with his teammates, perhaps as a treat before the upcoming expedition. When he goes to look for them, he finds Petra alone in the mess hall. Upon him asking everybody's whereabouts, she explains that everyone's already left for the day. He says "Oh well, you'll do. Come along," like he's settling for just having tea with just her.
But ok, let's stop right here. Why would someone as strict as Captain Levi not know where his squad members were, especially Eren!? Seems like awfully convenient timing, captain. I think you knew full and well where they were. You got Petra exactly where you wanted her and you didn't really want to share that tea with anybody else 😉
The two of them have a bit of a loaded conversation during their tea date. (Yes, even if it's just in the mess hall I say it's a date.) The topic of marriage and mortality comes up. Levi encourages Petra to spend time with her dad despite their disagreements, to which Petra agrees.
Levi and Petra each have another episode I haven't unlocked yet, and I'm nowhere near finished with the game. Hopefully there will be more of that sweet, juicy Rivetra content we are all craving! 🥰
ADDED MORE SCENES BECAUSE I WAS HAVING A GREAT FANGIRLING TIME JUST BY PLAYING THIS GAME!!!!
1) Eren talked about Levi's cleanlines obsession and Petra said that she had no idea as well but pretty sure that it didn't out of any simple love for cleanliness since she had held his dirty, blooded hands herself. I swear I can make up a ton of scenarios in my head for this only.
And Levi came from nowhere again to cut her off before she could say anything more...
2) Then he took her advice for Eren's situation and said that he would try not too harsh on talking to the kid.
(lol. Imagine she was like "honey, easy on our kid. He's at his 15s. You were a teenager too.") Yes, he could say her to shut up and mind her own business but of course we all knew that Levi appreciated every single word of hers.
3) Squad Levi warned Eren about Captain's special training session by sharing their awful experiences and Petra tried to calm the kid. But the guys waved her off, said that she had no place to say since she was the only one who got to skip all of this. She then explained Levi's meaning of order more clearly to make sure Eren would not mistake anything and the guys claimed that they finally understood why she got her free pass, because she read Levi so well.
Petra was clueless of what they meant again.
Remind me of Zeke's scene in AOT 2 and a quote I have read somewhere before. When a girl likes a guy, no one but the two knows about that. When a guy likes a girl, she has no idea while the whole world has already figured out.
Tumblr has a limit so I can't upload more. Petra has only 3 episodes in this game and I hope there will be more in the future since she is a very strong unit.

This is my first fanart (contributing to the fandom) of Petra after her death in ss1 looking at where her journey ended.
(And if you like it more heartbreaking, then she's there at the moment when Levi looking at her body. She can see his reaction after the squad's death.)
(But it is not like too tragic or anything. It is sad, but still, I want it to be optimistic.)
Actually I had known the ship for like 2 years ago but recently I've just started watching the whole series and finished it. I am pretty late to Rivetra (but luckily still early enough to celebrate their birthdays this year ^^). I had scrolled through numerous posts of the ship with analysis, fanart, fanfic, especially the legend hints collection posts. So happy that there are many people enjoy this ship like me out there.
I hope there will be more Rivetra crumbs in the future (from the game or arts or ANYTHING official haha), and the whole shipdom will like wake up again!!
Oh right, Petra isn’t special. I mean, everyone in former Levi Squad are treated equally.
And by equally, I mean just look. Eld, Oluo, and Gunther had this kind of scene where their families were waiting for their return.
Oh, right. Petra isn’t so special that her father waiting for her with her letter in his hand wasn’t included in this scene.
I mean, look. She isn’t special that they didn’t care if they showed her body being brutally thrown away and Levi looking like his head is in a fucking mess.
Too bad, Petra isn’t so special, her father had to be the last one to show up in this particular scene that lasted for more than 30 seconds.
Petra’s never so special that her death wasn’t the only one to get this kind of reaction from Levi (aside from Isabel and Farlan who were the closest to him).
Oh right, Petra probably had lots of things to tell (or complain about because she wasn’t treated special) Levi that she wasn’t able to say. But she wasn’t that special that they didn’t let her say it in the series, so instead, they just made her a song.
This is my first blog ever and I’m very excited to talk about Rivetra. I’ve been in the fandom for a couple of months now so I’m pretty new to it but some far I’m in love with Rivetra. Thanks to all the people keeping the fandom alive you guys are amazing✨
Before I start rambling about rivetra I want to put a disclaimer this is my OWN Interpretation on the event, so far this has not been confirmed yet but I do have reliable evidence to back up my theory. I will be talking about Japanese culture if you feel I’m being insensitive please let me know. Also I will be talking about Levihan as well and giving my own personal perspective on it as well as using as an example.
*Let’s finally start*
I know few people have talk about this event before but I personally haven’t seen someone mention this. I actually was a little confused on what white day is so I did a quick search and found out that is a day when boys would give a girl a gift. {please feel free to do your own research about it} I also found out that there’s different kinds of gift a boy would give to a girl and would also been seen with different meanings:
1. Marshmallow may seen as the person giving to you is not interested in you.
2. Cookies 🍪 is seen as a way of telling you” were are friends”. Now here comes levihan.
In this event is said that Levi is baking cookies for Hange and giving to them by Levi on white day. If we apply the meaning of giving cookie on white day it means friendship. Now for me personally it makes sense, I see Levi and Hange relationship portrayed as platonic but if you are a levihan shipper and you want to interpreted as romantic you are free to do so.
3. Candy 🍭 it means a person is returning the love 💕 Now here comes Rivetra:
This event was released on different dates.
Petra’s on Valentine’s Day and Levi’s on White day. As we can see Levi is giving Petra a bouquet of CANDY! If we apply the meaning of giving candy on white day it may seen as the person giving it, is returning the mutual feelings. This could suggest that in a way Levi is returning Petra’s feelings.
We know that canonically Petra has feelings for Levi as for Levi there’s a lot of debate but I do think the feelings are mutual and this could be a layer to that.

Of course, upon general viewing of SNK and its characters, it's clear that they have established Erwin, Levi, and Hange as the leading trio of the Survey Corps. They represent this faction of the military and in interesting ways, mirror the main protagonists of the series.
While there is a lot to be said and appreciated about Levi's relationships with Erwin and Hange, I have come to find that the character who humanizes him is the lovely (albeit forgettable) Petra Ral.
Early in the series, we are introduced to Levi as Humanity's Strongest Soldier. Erwin makes use of his abilities in this sense, and Hange often relies on his strength in combat as well. That is not to say this is the extent of their relationships: we have Levi's iconic "Give up on your dreams and die" scene with Erwin (S3 E16) and the infamous "Maybe we should just live here [away from my responsibilities] together" request from Hange (S4.2 E8). However, something to note with both scenes is that while they give depth to Levi's relationship with both characters, he essentially serves to highlight others. In the former, Levi's response directly challenges Erwin's dream, and allows this commander a defining moment of growth. Similarly in the latter, Levi is used as a means for Hange to express and eventually overcome their fears and insecurities about the deal they've been dealt as the new Commander of the Survey Corps (which at the time was rapidly disbanding under the Jaegerist movement).
In other words, Levi is the "subplot character" to Erwin's and Hange's individual arcs. (According to John Truby, 'The subplot character… provides another opportunity to define the hero through comparison and advance the plot.')
Which begs the question… at what point in the series, if any, is Levi defined as a character in and of himself?
Two prominent scenes from season 1 come to mind, which are namely: 1) The dying soldier scene (S1 E9), and 2) Petra's conversation with Eren in headquarters (S1 E15).
In the first, Levi comforts a dying soldier and vows to carry on their will and exterminate all Titans. When the soldier passes before he can reply to Levi's words, Levi turns to his fellow soldier Petra and asks her if he was heard. Petra provides confirmation, emphasizing the peaceful expression on the soldier's face.
In the second, Petra confronts a gloomy-looking Eren, who has been tasked to clean headquarters along with the rest of the Special Operations Squad (aka the Levi Squad). She specifically points out how Levi is 'not the hero he's expected to be' in the sense that he has a terrible personality, though she does so while smiling almost fondly, as though it doesn't matter what his personality is because they can always put faith in him as their Captain. It seems she wants Eren to understand this - or a notion similar.
It is in both moments that we are able to clearly see Levi beyond being a powerful soldier. Always, he is a threat. When he enters the scene we expect the shift in the dynamic of the battle - we expect him to win. He's a trump card. Erwin's last words to him are an order (S3 E16), and Hange's last words about him is "he's [Armin's] underling now, so really put him to work" (S4.3.1). Levi acknowledges Erwin's and Hange's humanity, bolsters it even, with the conviction of "dedicating your heart". In SNK he is the symbolism, the embodiment, of a soldier. That's all he really ever gets to be. Even his softest moments with - heck, anyone in the series - are meant to deeply reflect on the guilt, the burden, the purpose of getting the job done. ("So… you're telling me… I've spent all this time and energy running around killing people?" (S2 E12) / "Just think, if your hands were still clean... Jean wouldn't be here right now." (S3 E2) / "If we just run away and keep on hiding, what will we have left?" (S4.2 E8))
But for those singular moments in season one, he's more than just the threat. We see him as a human not only with (personality) flaws, but also with dreams and convictions, tied so seamlessly with his comrades' cause that we are reminded painfully, at the end of the series, that it was Levi who carried them all to the end. Throughout the story we see Levi lament fallen soldiers; we are exposed to how much he empathizes with his comrades and their deaths, to the point where it can be said that no one keeps us more aware of the lives that have been lost throughout the show more than Levi himself.
In this manner, Petra was the subplot character to Levi's hero. She gave the audience a (subconscious) glimpse of the Humanity within "Humanity's Strongest" and built the bridge that would lead us to compelling and important revelations about Levi's thoughts and actions as the show progressed. It's Petra whom he finds tending to a dying soldier; Petra whom he asks for confirmation that the soldier heard; Petra who, against all expectation, asks Eren to see past the station, the status, the soldier, to the person himself.
"He's not quite the great, perfect hero society makes him out to be, huh? The real Captain Levi is shorter than you'd expect, temperamental, crude, and unsociable. (…) You thought that because he's skilled, he doesn’t have to follow the rules like everyone else?" (S1 E15)
It's even Petra who, despite her rank, asks Levi to step aside when Eren becomes a half-baked Titan. Here, Levi's robust intuition and split-second decision making skills are shown even away from the battlefield. It's Petra who leads the Special Operations Squad in their apology to Eren (S1E19 "Bite"), who first instills in us (narratively) the notion of trusting your fellow comrades. More specifically, she is who convinces Eren to place his life in their hands. It's this notion that Levi carries with him even until the final arc - "I've saved Eren countless times over - each time, more comrades dying. All because I believed he was the hope of humanity." (S4.1 E13) In the manga (Ch112), it's Petra we see at the forefront of this belief.
"Do you, Eren? Do you find it that hard to trust us?" It's Petra who dies, her words the final say in convincing Eren: "I believe my squad will be victorious." (S1 E21)
"It's like some awful joke," Levi reflects later on, as his comrades' dying hopes and dreams flash by in the canopy of the forest. "What the hell was the hope that we saw? Such bullshit. It's not even funny." (S4.1 E13) "We" here could definitely mean the soldiers who've given their hearts, but the metaphorical representative of this heart is Petra herself... "Eren! Trust us." (S1 E19)
And in the end, it's Petra in the forefront alongside Erwin and Hange, representative of her fellow soldiers, the one (experienced/veteran) Scout we've seen and interacted with in the entire series to have professed the values of hope, of trust, of belief, which is henceforth carried on by Levi himself, his own convictions, his own dreams. They are, in the entire series, the glimpse we get into the Scout Regiment beyond the series' titular character and his comrades in the 104th, and a thorough dive into what makes Levi Humanity's, not simply its strongest.
Her character song, "The Light of Dual Wings", can literally be taken as an allegory of the dreams the Scouts have entrusted to Levi. That's how prominent she is as a Scout; how coded her devotion to Levi is, whether interpreted platonically, romantically, or narratively, as the dedication of hearts.
So, yes, I love them together. I love their scenes, the implications of them narratively, the values Petra professes so effortlessly in the air, washed away by the higher tides of the Female Titan arc. I love that it's still Petra at the forefront, in all of Levi's reflections moving forward, because she is our first glimpse into Levi's character, the real him.
In the end this is just a ship post struggling to keep from delving too much into the symbolism of Levi and the Scouts (how Levi is the face of the Scouts more so than Erwin himself, really), the truest depiction of humanity's collective fight for freedom in this entire series. In his early days, Eren wanted to be a Scout, after all. It is Levi and Petra who push him forward into 'that hell' - for better and worse, respectively.

I really really love it, when the stoic, introveted, always composed Loid opening up a little. And he only did this twice. When it was only him and Yor.
You could clearly see Yor was surprised that Loid wanted to share a thing with her.
Loid really saw Yor as friend, that she would never judge him as "weak" for opening up. And clearly that she would listen to him.
Perhaps Loid himself was also surprised that he shared something with someone, because after these two scenes, he immediately steered the conv elsewhere. And Yor didn't push him further.
Guuuuhhh.... they are just so perfect with each other.
I'm just waiting for a moment, where Loid would opened up to her, and she would brave enough to give him the comforting touch. They are still far away from doing that, but a fan can dream, right 🥲
So. I have this theory about Twilight after this chapter.
Endo has established the fact that Yor is basically starting to catch feelings for Loid. To the point that she's jealous of Fiona replacing her and Loid actually "Loving" and choosing her over Yor.
Except Yor is too dense/timid to spell it out when sober. And at this point of the story (which I assume would keep on going to be a slow burn) even this much development is Great. I love it!!
But here's what I think guys. Twilight? He's catching feelings too and I think he's already fallen pretty hard for Yor. He's just in some sort of a denial cause hey he has to keep up with his stoic and unemotional image so that he doesn't get "too attached" to his "family".
Now you may think why I came to such a conclusion...it's because :
1. In chapter 34 Twilight feels bad about lying to Yor. Seriously? A spy? Who has lied to people a million times, had fake relationships with women a million times before is now guilty of lying to Yor?
And I also love it how he instantly compares the Colonel's real family to his "fake" family. It's as if he considers Anya and Yor his real family and feels bad about lying to them.
2. Remember when Twilight bugged Yor? After the entire fiasco, he came to the conclusion that Yor is just a simple office clerk and is an innocent citizen. She's just as unaware as another citizen and won't have any information useful to him regarding the secret service or anything else really. So far Twilight has only had romantic relationships with women who could supply him with some information.
Then why oh why did Twilight do the proposal at all? 😂
My thoughts? Well twilight really wants a real relationship with Yor. From twilight's perspective she's an innocent citizen (and not thorn princess), Yor can't really give him any intel or vital information.
Twilight tends to attribute his protectiveness towards his daughter to the vitality of success of operation strix. He hates the fact that he has to lie to Anya and therefore denies the fact that he loves her as much as a real daughter.
The same thing probably happens with him here. He realises that he likes Yor back for 1 second, goes into denial and just starts assuming that he can have a "fake" (ha! lol!) relationship with Yor. For the Mission 😂 Point is, he just needs an excuse to dismiss his own attachment/feelings everytime. Operation strix becoming the prime excuse.
3. Guys! He thinks Yor is like his own mom! He sees his mother in her and he thinks that there can't be anyone else better to be Anya's mom. He also thinks she's strong and tbh I think it's a genuine compliment. He does admire her and is ready to accept that. He's just in denial about having romantic feelings for her. Which would come. I'm sure. Eventually. Until then I'm just going to enjoy this view...
