UX assignment ? Ehh.. let me think about it
Been interviewing few candidates for a UX designer position. While most of them agreed to do assignment rounds, one UX designer sort of declined it.Â
He said âHey, I have 5 years of experience. Do I need to do an assignment?â I said âYes, it is part of our interview processâ He said âLet me think about itâ At that moment, I knew this is going to be a little rough ride. Post that phone call, I asked my recruiter to check with the candidate and if he is willing then send him the assignment. Otherwise, ignore him. Later I came to know that he did not agree to take up the assignment.

Some of the documentaries listed below are quite famous, some are not. More than teaching you anything about Design, these films teach something about peopleâââhow they behave, what motivates them and how they shape art and culture at the same time they are shaped by it.
Story of my life
AMPlifying my home computer
Fixed a pair of Ultimate T1 4" to a pair of plywood speaker boxes based on design from FOSTEX.
Requested my audio electronic wizard friend to make me a 50+50w RMS amp with good reliability and no-nonsense controls. He sent me back a mid-size black box with a heavy power transformer and an STK4192 II based audio amp. Added bonus was the cheap and nifty FM-Tuner and Memory card based MP3 player.
Connected them and WHOA! I am blown away. The 4 ohms 4" drivers (rated 65 hz to 20 khz) performed exceptionally, which is further enhanced by the FOSTEX design speaker box.
I must say - FOSTEX's speaker box design, Ultimate's 4" T1 and the STK 4192 50+50w amp pleased me like anything. Unexpected result. Never thought they would sound this good!
