Ok so yea Duck assumes and believes his ideas most of the time, mostly with complete resolute and boastfulness but in the fridge scene when he says “I like looking at you too” he says it so softly

And is honest! He is not being a prick about it!!! So carefully too,

And idk how they know! Maybe bcs it’s in the dark and possibly no control over them, but they somehow know they are having a moment now!

HEY HES NOT A JACKASS ALL THE TIME CONSTANTLY… what a mean thing to say about him! Duck is also like,mostly honest. IMO. BIIIG IMO, but most this blog is imo so. Like he doesn't usually say stuff just to say it, if he says something he either really feels it or really believes it in some way. He's fun that way!! He's dumb as a bag of rocks and about as shallow as a puddle and I like him that way.

also OUGHH WITH THE NIGHT I'VE HAD… you start talking to me about that fridge scene and bring up the dark or perception or audiences or some sort of control being lost I'm gonna have a migraine and scream and bite you.

ANYWAYS- I THINK THEY'D BE AWFUL AT TALKING ABOUT THEIR FEELINGS ACTUALLY. LIKE TRULY. Duck is so straightforward and upfront, Red's favorite coping skill and way to dodge responsibility is avoidance. It's a total match made in hell. I've said before that I can totally see Duck asking Red about the fridge scene after it happened and Red saying that it didn't happen actually and that he would never say something like that. Duck being like oh huh! I guess you're right- taking it totally at face value and leaving it at that. They'd be soooo awful thats why theyre married divorced 500 times my friend.
