The Buffalo Central Terminal is an icon in Buffalo, NY. Used from 1929 until 1979. It was unfortunately sold for salvage at one point and now it’s slowly being restored.

The Oglala National Grassland in Northern Nebraska... It’s desolate, it’s beautiful.  I’m not sure what else to say, but it’s a great place to explore.

This weekend would have been the 20th annual Balloon Rally at Letchworth State Park here in NY.  The weather would have been perfect too, but unfortunately it didn’t happen.

Things are slowly getting back to normal and we’ll be back to all our usual activities soon.  But it still feels like forever when most things are closed.

Until then, we have all the great memories of what we’ve done and I’m sure we’ve all come up with plans for things we want to do in the future!

A workshop from the 1800′s.  Found in Mumford, NY otherwise known as the Genesee County Village Museum.  It’s a really cool time capsule to visit if you are in the area.

The Pierce Arrow Motorcar Company was based out of Buffalo, NY and in business from 1901 to 1938. Mostly known for luxury cars, they also made trucks, boats, trailers, motorcycles and bikes. I guess if it went on a road, they made it!

This is actually the third and most artistic bridge in this location over the Genesee river and was opened in 2017. The first was a timber bridge that opened in 1852 and was the longest wooden bridge in the world at the time. It burned down in 1875 and was replaced that same year with an iron and steel bridge which stood until 2017! That’s 142 years…

Mumford, NY otherwise known as the Genesee County Village Museum is a super cool place for those who like old houses.  It contains a number of houses, stores and other buildings that were moved on to the site from elsewhere.

All of them are maintained and on the weekends there are historical reeinactors who play the part of the townsfolk.

It’s worth checking out if you like that kind of thing and are in the area!

Badlands National Park in South Dakota is one of my favorite parks.  The geography there is just amazing to me.  It feels almost like some other planet.
