Hey it's ya boi Cy. I am now on tumblr because Cursi begged me and begged me and I love them very much so now here I am with all of you. Yay.

Plural (Eklesia System, 80+ members)
Whether you know us as Cyrokin, ValarionCy, variant-cy, or the Hollower, there's a good chance you've run into us and our works somewhere in the fandom. (Unless you exclusively used Twitter or something; we haven't used that platform since 2015.) We made this introduction earlier in the Hollow community but I'm gonna pin it to this blog to serve as our introoooo---
"Cy" is the usual nickname, "Cyro" and "Val" are acceptable as well. As for pronouns, it kind of depends on who's fronting, as we are a plural system, so we'll use "I" and "we" interchangeably here. We have multiple The Hollow fictives (alters who form using a fictional character as a blueprint), with Adam V and Skeet being the most active. Generally, he/they pronouns are gonna be the best fit.
I'm overall pretty shy when it comes to talking to people, but I'm open to making friends. Be aware that we're bodily an adult. We'd kindly ask that you keep that in mind even while interacting with alters that are minors, because they WILL interact on this blog!
Biggest passions are writing, music (mostly rock, metal and electronic genres), and drawing. Favorite Hollow characters are Adam and Skeet. Favorite ship is Mira/Skeet, but I'm cool with pretty much whatever among the main six. (Might be the accidental creator of Skeet/Adam, woops. Never really saw content for the ship before making my little comics where they interact. Kinda want a badge for that. :p)
Outside of the Hollow I enjoy indie horror and unfiction quite a bit; I used to be pretty active in the Slenderverse. I draw animals and furry characters, and I write original fiction as well. Catch me at the right time and I'll yap about one of the original cartoon and comic ideas I've got.
As for Hollow fandom works, I've tried dipping my toes into various media and expressions. We've done writing and drawing, AMVs, and we're working on scripts and comics for future. There's a lot we're excited about but damn, does it take a while to make stuff.
I love this show dearly and I look forward to whatever creative works we're able to make during our time here in the fandom. :>

(If you're a plural here because we followed you on main, I'd like to redirect you to @eklesia-system, thanks! Unless you also wanna follow us on main.)
We don't have any DNIs, but we'd request that anyone who comes to interact in BAD FAITH please refrain from speaking to us. Thanks. :0
Art and creativity are primarily about expression, not about looking good, pretty, or polished. o.o
I love the pretty stuff from artists who have been doing it for years but I'm terribly, terribly fond of beginner artwork and less-polished artwork and artwork that expresses pure enjoyment for the subject matter.
And when you improve, do it in a healthy way. Don't beat yourself to become better, but recognize when you DO become better, and enjoy what you have already accomplished. And never ever be ashamed of sharing your work. :0
We all start somewhere, and we don't all aim to become professional artists. We're allowed to be beginners and we're allowed to not draw a 100% perfect piece every single fucking time we sit down to create.
Almond Water is one of items that we can get in the backroom. Almond Water is safe and rich in nutrients, but we need to be careful not to mistake with Liquid pain(poison).
Hey there. My name is Khaz, and I'm actually currently the primary host of the system that runs the ValarionCy blog. Funny thing is, I've never actually watched the Hollow myself (which is why y'all don't hear from me much over here), and seeing as we needed to relax and do something fun for a bit I decided hey, might as well give the show a watch for myself.
(Episode 1 commentary under the cut)
In the first episode, I like how it hits you right in the face with the weird shit you're about to experience. Sets the tone for the first episode immediately. Typewriter. Passed-out teenagers. The disorientation of the room Adam wakes up in.
(Sigh. Derek wants me to point out that it's a lot like the opening of the first Saw movie. The sad thing is, he's right.)
It really stands out to me as well in this first episode, the almost clashing moods of pretty intense horror elements, alongside this very corny energy that reminds me I'm watching a show made for children.
For me at least, it provides for this sense of "things are scary but it's fine, everything is gonna be OK." And you know what, I appreciate that. That's a fantastic recipe for a comfort show right there.
-
Adam and Kai are both very stubborn and bullheaded, I can't imagine how frustrated (and probably anxious) Mira was during the poison scene. Good heavens. No wonder she's so pissed in the vent. I'd have been pissed too.
That said, it makes for a believable character dynamic, which also offsets the "children's show" tone with some surprisingly believable and well-written characters.
-
I really like how the forest backgrounds are drawn. Detailed yet simple.
The woods is really where we start to see Adam and Mira naturally starting to bond... largely over Kai being a bit too dramatic for their collective taste. Their dynamic is playful, almost flirty. Very much a "they're hitting things off splendidly" sort of opening to their friendship. Perhaps hinting to their existing friendship.
That, along with Adam and Mira getting so into discussing what could possibly be going on, while some physical comedy gags happen with Kai in the meantime, along with the cinematic distance between Adam and Mira's pair, and Kai alone, further sets up this distinct "Kai feels like he does not belong" energy.
(Yes, I personally have not seen this since forming in the system, but the brain knows the events of the show like the back of our hand. I am privvy to what happens later.)
-
Loving the foreshadowing to Kai's fire powers with the electric fence. It's not obvious enough to make you think too much of it, but it's just intriguing enough to make you wonder what's going on.
Kai telling Mira "you're weird" with her subsequent reaction. So much of a little brother, older sister dynamic with these two already.
-
Adam's immediate gut reaction to the prospect of people nearby being possibly "bad people" tells me... something about his character, though I'm not sure what. He's been shown thus far to be a rather cautious kid, but it seems his caution extends to people as well. He isn't just cautious, he's also distrustful.
(And not just of strangers, if memory serves me.)
-
During the lab scene, Kai shows that he's a bit more of a skeptic than one might initially think. He's not one to just believe everything he's been told. He is certainly not afraid to tell people when he thinks they're wrong.
Yeah, I see why he and Adam butt heads early on. Do you reckon it's a similar situation with Reeve? I sure do.
-
So, it seems nobody else in headspace noticed how Adam flinches or starts slightly when Mira touches his shoulder. He looks a bit uncomfortable about it. (Hm. I think I'm cooking.)
-
Oof. Adam is very easily set off once Kai challenges his authority, despite Adam's statement of "I never said I was the leader". And Adam absolutely matches Kai's explosive energy once it's made known. Adam is clearly already irritated and tense due to the blank map. But the moment the door slams, Adam shouts.
I think this could say a lot about BOTH characters if I had time to explore, but my commentary is already taking way longer than expected.
And again, Mira is stuck having to deal with this. She may have invited the dogs, but she had every right to throw the record player, so sue me.
-
I don't really have anything to say about the dogs. They're spooky, their existence holds implications and plenty of fuel for AU building.
Weird Guy has immediate... vibes. I don't know which vibes he has, but whatever they are they're impeccable. Surprised this guy isn't a Tumblr sexyman or whathaveyou. He's having so much fun too, you can just tell. Mark is no doubt having a field day voicing this guy.
I love how the light is animated on his glasses during the head rotation. Very nice.
-
So the portals drain energy. I'd have liked to see more of this element and what scenarios it could lead to. Eh, that's what AU and fanfiction is for I suppose.
Welp! That's gonna be it for my little commentary on this episode. I'll see about doing more if I can. I know Cy has trouble expressing their exact thoughts on the show so I figured I could give them ideas by sharing my own perspective. Fresh set of eyes. Thanks for reading this if ya did.
Drawing Luc is very fun for us. He's evolved a lot from his origins as a knockoff Kai and is very much his own person by now.
He loves cooking, sci-fi, outer space, aliens, dinosaurs, TMNT, comfy clothes, yapping with people, and showing hospitality. Oh, and lesbians. He loves lesbians. -Cy
I've seen a lot of people reblogging this and liking this and whatnot who have no idea that this is a thing me and @ahyesthesufferingoftvteens are actually working on.
Here's the blog with all the stuff made for it reblogged:
The Hollow Backrooms AU
And here's the FANFICTION that is in the works:
Shallow River, Hollow Valley
How do they in real life feel if they know there is their digital copy in hollow life? I remembered many people were watching the hollow tournament in s1ep10 and I think the game in s2 was also watched by people. Then, maybe teamA・B(Adam,Mira,Kai,Reeve,Vanessa,Skeet) were also watching it. In that case, they might know about the existence of their digital copy!
I actually started a oneshot fanfiction with this concept years ago, but never finished it! It was called "Shake Shake Shake" and in it, Adam was being a conspiracy theorist about the Season 2 duplicates. I might finish it one of these days. -Cy

Wins are... concerning. Honestly, not something I'd ever admit before. But that's the circumstances of this place.
As much as a break from the mundane is amusing, it's also a pain in the neck. Things were very unclear at first. What happens if a team wins? If they lose.?
But it's not like you can keep track of every single pair of teams that come through. And oh boy, we tried.
Loses are more obvious, at least for us. Not that that is something we've observed first hand. But that's not a thing that can be risked. We have a certain someone to the example of that. Despite all the new chaos, we were fortunate enough not to lose anyone else.
But wins? Was also a concern. Though, inevitable. As much as we feared a game reset after winning the game would affect everything... We seem to constant, hometown being our 'spawn point'. Of course it resets the events, memories of certain others around us, those not part of the 'glitch', and it's dissapointing.. But at least our own memories keep intact. I can remember every argument I got in with these dorks. Nice.
But the players? We don't know what happens to them exactly. If the game functions exactly like the Hollow did, if they win, they get out of the game, winners. If they lose, they're out, losers. But, that's not exactly what it looks like to us. There's not much of a difference of a real death and an in-game one when you are a part of the game. In the end, it all just looks like death. And it's not pretty.
I've seen a lot down here. And at times, it'd be preferable if I didn't have to remember every reset. But.. It's not all bad. Helping people out, seeing new faces, smiles. Maybe that makes it all worth it in the end, maybe that's just how it should be.
Ah yes, our system-related memory issues have affected my fic-writing. (:
I just had to go check Ao3 to see if Through New Beginnings Chapter 6 had been finished and published. And it was! Months ago, before I (EWN, I'm the guy that helps us get creative things done) came out of dormancy. Definitely gonna give it a re-read so I know where I'm going with the next chapter. Because if we forgot it had been FINISHED and PUBLISHED then no doubt I have no idea what the contents of the chapter are---
Memory really bad right now guys. Rereading fics helps. :0
