Hi anon. Its a bit of a slippery slope. Honestly I use to be such a fangirl of Joe, Justin and so many other people but ever since Palenstine and Trump in office, celebrity or not Ive kinda distance myself from friends and people who dont speak up about it and the ones who say they arent “political” or they say they dont care abt politics.

I know no celebrity is obligated to speak out, and I understand it’s not technically their job. But for me, when issues involve people’s lives and basic human rights it’s hard to separate that silence from how I view someone. It doesn’t mean I think everyone has to agree with me on every issue but I do find myself respecting people more when they’re willing to use their platform or at least acknowledge what’s happening.

That’s just where I’ve landed personally. I don’t expect everyone to feel the same, but it’s definitely changed the way I engage with celebrities and public figures
