- okay, hear me out, Shadow Milk gives me MAJOR Hamilton vibes, so imagine he writes letters to her in his fount of knowledge era, they are all with delicate language, metaphors, all in a way to show her the depths of his love, and she pays attention for each little detail, his letters made her days brighter.

- Black Sapphire was their first kid, then came Candy Apple, then Pavlova

- Shadow milk spoils the kids while Eternal Sugar has to be harsh sometimes so they behave

- before corruption/after corruption love languages:

Fount of Knowledge/ Shadow Milk: words of affirmation became physical touch

Bringer of Hapiness/ Eternal Sugar: receiving gifts became quality time

- Eternal Sugar has a spot next to her bed where every night in the garden she longs for her husband, for the day he stops being so stubborn and comes with the kids to live in the garden, where she'll receive them with open arms and give them all happiness they could want

- Shadow Milk has several portraits of Eternal Sugar in the Spire...some even with him

- Nowadays he makes silly cheesy puppet shows to her with love stories between the two

- Meanwhile she plays his favorite songs in the harp for him when he can't sleep

- PENELOPE AND ODYSSEUS VIBES

- Eternal Sugar would love to give Candy Apple the cutest dresses to see her daughter happy in them and going to show them off

One AU I had in mind is this: James and Louisa don't own the Elliott Manor. It's actually owned by an older relative of James', someone that is not to be messed with, his grandfather. Imagine someone like Rick Sanchez from RIck and Morty, or maybe Heihachi Mishima from the Tekken series. This guy just outright HATES his grandson and his daughter in law because they've always been insufferable, disrespectful little twerps, but he adores his granddaughter Tessa, and one day he just comes back after a long absence and ends up taking over the mansion

Series: Murder Drones AU Criteria: Grandpa Elliott decides to come home to the Manor and see what his grandson James, his grandson's wife Loisa, and his darling great granddaughter Tessa is up to. He is not happy. AU title (optional): Family Drama

Lord Jacob Ashely Elliott is a decorated war vet, an adventurer, and the proud creator of the first drone lines. He love them, and is immensely proud of his great granddaughter who is taking after him in her inventiveness. He has a very British accent and a huge mustache, and built like a bear in a human suit.

Upon getting to the manor, he is LIVID seeing the piles of drones, the toxicity of the beloved wetlands. And upon being informed by the delightful little drone with servo issues, is apocalyptic about James' treatment of Tessa.

He lays down the law, telling the 'adults' that they are getting kicked out, disinherited, and that Tessa is staying with him as his new heir. He tells Louisa that she is being spared because he would not hit a woman, and would not want to sully his hands with her otherwise. James… James gets the ever loving tar beat out of him.

Once the lawyers are finished erasing James and Louisa from his family line, he takes Tessa on a trip to this new colony he was building where drones were being treated more equally, probably so the wetlands can be repaired and the drone parts can be recycled properly (many of them were coming with the two of them)

Cyn, N, V, And J are all brought along as they are Tessa's best friends, and personal drones. He even helps her repair them, and finds Cyn an absolute delight. The servo problem does bother him though.
