I like to think Grace has 3 different classes that he teaches on Erid:

A pretty bog standard science class for children, it just has the fun twist of being taught by and having the perspective of an alien who perceives the universe differently. This one lasts however long most Eridian "grade levels" last. The kids who get into this class are half advanced students who are nominated for it, and half picked from a lottery system (by Grace's insistence)

An advanced course only for Eridian professionals and scientists that specifically focuses on the human understanding of physics, biology, and astronomy. This is basically meant to try to fill in the gaps in Eridian science that human science can fill. The equivalent of a university course in length.

A one lecture seminar about the basics of Earth, it's life, and humans as a species for the general population. Literally anyone can attend this one, and he does them so often that while demand is high it's not too hard to get a spot in.

I will be so so so happy, if I one day find a PHM fic where someone (who's, ideally, already familiar with IRL teaching methods) digs reeeeeeal deep into "how would Grace have to alter his teaching style/the way he designs his classes, to account for every single student having an Eridian brain".

like, that cute question-and-answer game with tossing the beanbag that Grace played with his human middle-schoolers? unless Eridians don't develop anything close to Rocky's level of memorization ability until they're older -- I hate to say it because it *is* a cute image -- but that kind of game, with no modifications, would be boring at best and insulting at worst to Eridian students.

honestly, there were a couple lines from Grace in the ending scene of the movie that didn't seem to fit how a human would have to teach an Eridian class. like "wake up"? if an Eridian kid is likely to be falling asleep anytime soon, how likely is it that they'd be attending that particular class, and not at home being watched over?

and "who can tell me the speed of light" -- thematically, very good! "rhymes" with the idea of Grace teaching his human students about sound from the earlier scene on Earth, and all. but. if Eridians generally memorize what they hear, then asking those kids that question would be like asking a group of 12-year-old humans what 1 plus 1 is.
